Once again, the barometer promises fair skies, forecasting fine weather ahead, at least for the weekend! It's the perfect sailing forecast for the Connemara Lady as she elegantly cruises the serene waters of the stunning Killary Fjord.

You're likely familiar with the age-old adage: "Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning. Red sky at night, sailors delight." But did you know there's a grain of truth behind it? In Ireland, weather patterns typically move from west to east. When clouds gather at sunrise, painting the sky red, it signals impending poor weather. As the weather system eventually passes, the western sky clears. If sunset aligns with this moment, its light casts a red glow on the departing clouds in the east.
