Our portfolio of memorable holiday properties in beautiful locations in the UK and Europe has been carefully built up over 40 years, with over 1,500 villas, apartments & cottages in 32 locations across 13 countries. The furnishings are rich and elegant and every property is equipped with a television and a DVD player. In the main building there are 28 apartments. There are a further 16 terraced co

ttages and 19 apartments in the grounds, with an annexe containing nine apartments. At the rear of the main building are two studios and two one-bedroom units. All are beautifully appointed and most enjoy superb views.

Best In Show 🏆

Last year’s 'Dog of the Year' competition within our in-house magazine attracted scores of entrants, only some of which we were able to feature within those pages – but all of which have captured our attention, and our hearts, including;

Nelson, a handsome Hungarian Vizsla belonging to Mark H’s son and daughter-in-law. He’s been to HPB Tigh Mor Trossachs and “loves” Loch Katrine and two-year-old Nelson is, says Mark, “full of beans and loves being outdoors”.

Managing Tigh Mor – and more… ✨

Six years on from starting his role here, Site Manager Simon is still in love with our Scottish home – “I have to pinch myself sometimes just to make sure this isn’t all a dream,” he says – but as of July last year he’s added a second string to his bow, becoming Property Manager responsible for operations at the HPB Coo Palace, HPB Lucker Hall, HPB Braithwaite (and the HPB Ivy House Hotel) and HPB Witch's Pool.

“Being a Property Manager isn’t being a boss,” Simon avers. “It’s more about working with the individual Site Managers, being able to provide an overview when they’re embroiled in the day-to-day – zooming out if you like – providing support where necessary, and acting as a conduit between them and Head Office.

“It’s testing sometimes, but interesting,” he says. “Other sites face different challenges from those I get ‘at home’, but those experiences – some of them anyway – feed into my own site management at HPB Tigh Mor Trossachs. And I really enjoy working with the other Site Managers. “We’re a team.”

Walk In The Park! 🌳

Trust in the Park health walks take place in the beautiful and nurturing surroundings of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Each walk is less than an hour long beginning with a short gentle warm up, followed by a brisk walk and a short cool down at the end.

Join them for a free, fun and easy way to get fit and feel better. Choose from:

"As you will have recently read, there’s much change and excitement in the Activities Department. Jack is stepping into a new position as a Property Manager, which I wish him every success with; and I’m very pleased to have taken on the role of Head of Activities from November.

I started working for the company 4½ years ago at HPB Henllys as a Seasonal Activity Coordinator. After a tricky year re-establishing the Kids’ Club post-lockdown, Holiday Property Bond offered me full-time work and I began my career as a Senior Activity Coordinator. It was brilliant to find such a unique role where I had a split of physically running activities for guests as well as overseeing the administrative side of things.

A fantastic addition, that came with the full-time role, was instructing adult activity programmes – which some of you may recognise me from. Highlights from these sojourns have been learning how to play Mölkky; helping to plan the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at HPB Manoir du Hilguy; teaching yoga and making personalised Christmas cards at Henllys; at HPB Cabo Girão, leading guests on walks to a secret beach – and having a regular group of people who, much as they moaned, loved being stretched, lunged, and twirled into fitness in the colder months! As you can imagine,

I’ve been lucky enough to visit many sites, but the three mentioned are very special as I’ve spent most of my time at those locations. I will still be delivering some activities now I’ve taken over from from Jack, but I’ll also be taking on more of the organisational responsibility.

My aim is to ensure that you always have brilliant experiences (particularly those in the four to 12-year-old bracket) when activities are offered. I wish everyone an enjoyable winter and look forward to seeing you on-site soon."

"Farewell… After almost 10 years of working as the Head of Activities for Holiday Property Bond, the time has come for me to move on to a new role within the company. And what a decade it’s been!

When I first started the Kids’ Clubs were offered at four sites, during the Easter and summer school holidays. This typically involved hiring around eight staff each year.
In comparison, in 2023 the Kids’ Club operated at seven sites, (with Alfaix also covering half-terms), and with a team of over 25 staff in total.

Of course it’s not just the Kids’ Club that I have been involved in; we have been developing the seasonal activities programme: Cycling in HPB Constant, Wellness in HPB Cabo Girão, Walking at HPB Manoir du Hilguy, Tennis and Fitness in HPB El Pueblito de Alfaix to name just a few.

There have certainly been ups and downs, with cancelled flights, sick staff, covid restrictions and Brexit changes combining to make sending UK staff to work overseas much more difficult.

I have enjoyed every minute. I pass the mantle on to a familiar face, Rachel Goodacre, who I am sure will approach the role with bags of enthusiasm and wonderful ideas to expand and improve the activities on offer across our sites."
