Cruising the Okavango Delta
While we love a relaxing mokoro (dugout canoe) ride in Botswana, there are other options for water exploration! AAC Journey Specialist Sara recommends a motorized boat ride through the channels of the Okavango Delta. The scenery is fantastic, the water clear and the ride is pure fun. Watching the sunset out in the wilds of the Delta with a gin & tonic then returning to a luxurious camp - safari doesn’t get any better.
The Pharaohs' Golden Parade
Twenty-two royal Egyptian mummies will be transferred in a huge parade from their current home at the Egyptian Museum to their permanent display at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization on April 3rd. The 22 mummies include 18 Pharaohs and 4 Queens, and some of the most prominent monarchs in Ancient Egyptian history like King Ramses II, King Thutmose III, and Queen Hatshepsut, Queen Merit Amun, wife of King Amenhotep I, and Queen Ahmose-Nefertari, and wife of King Ahmose I.
