founded in 1564 by Sultan Abdullah Al-Ghaleb Assaadi, his construction was very expensive, it has cost a lot of money and furniture's paid to the different workers and sculptures to make such a beautiful art piece, opened one year later in 1565, calling knowledge seekers and best professors from all around the country, they had come from:
Fez, Taza, Taroudant and the hears had arrived until Toumbouktou and Gao near Senegal, it was an intellectual centre for 4 centuries, in Islamic sciences, Philosophy, Medicine and Mathematics.
Composed of, a big yard on the center of the building with an artificial fountain where drains fresh water, a style, all decorated with mosaic, sculpted woods and ceiling, three flats of about 50 rooms: classrooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, rooms with sub conductions or little rivers of fresh water to drink; Yeah, it will surprise you!
It has been restored years ago and now it receives hundreds of visitors daily to enjoy such a place of the calling medieval centuries!
