MOROCCO DESERT TOUR: EXCURSION TO THE MOROCCAN DESERT IN 4 DAYS
Morocco desert tour a 4 day trip to the Moroccan desert
Morocco desert circuit in 4 days, this circuit in the Moroccan desert will make you discover the oases and the Berber villages of the Draa Valley and you will sleep in a tent. An excursion in the desert of southern Morocco by traveling within the framework of solidarity tourism, respectful of the natural environment and which contributes to local development.

The Morocco desert circuit program over 4 days:

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – The Draa Valley – Ouled Driss.
We will leave early from Marrakech towards Ouarzazate, passing by the Col du Tichka, the high road pass of Morocco at 2260 m altitude. We will then descend to the magnificent Draa Valley, its ksours and kasbahs. Upon arrival in Ouled Drissi, we will join the team of camel drivers. Dinner and night under the tent in the desert. 450 km accomplished during the day.

Day 2: Ouled Driss – the dunes of Lahnaniche
Our trek will leave towards Lahnaniche. We will cross a superb desert plateau, then we will pass next to the Kasbah and its very old houses which are the true testimonies of the occupation of this region by man. We will have lunch in the shade of the tamarisk trees. After 1h30 of walking, we will arrive at our camp on the dunes of Lahnaniche. We will do 5 hours of walking during the day.

Day 3: Lahnaniche – Ras Nkhalexcursion in the moroccan desert
After breakfast, we will walk along the dunes in the Erg. Lunch will be prepared by our cook in the shade of the palm trees. We will continue our hike to the entrance of the city of M'hamid and the palm groves of Ras Nkhal. Installation of our camp. Night under the tent or under the stars. We will do 5h30 of walking during the day.

Day 4: Ras Nkhal – Zagora – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Transfer to Marrakech with a stop at Tamegroute (pottery, old Koranic library, etc.). Lunch on the road. Arrival in Marrakech at the end of the afternoon.

– Road transfers between Marrakech and the starting point of the trek and return to Marrakech at the end of the trek

Outdoor Activities Abound in Morocco
The splendid landscapes of Morocco provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. There is no better way to dive into the crystal blue ocean waters than grabbing a surfboard and catching a wave in Essaouirra or Agadir. For those that like a bit of a challenge, Morocco offers up vast mountain ranges like the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, which are perfect for a day or multi-day hike outing. If you’re more of a spectator, then there is a world of motor sport racing.

A little known fact about Morocco is that the region ranks among some of the world’s hotspots in terms of surfing. Weather conditions allow for virtually year round surfing in morocco, in numerous destinations. The optimal times are between late autumn and March. Another attractive point to surfing in Morocco is the availability of un-crowded wave attention. Even during peak surfing season, one can still find a secluded spot to enjoy a wave or two without having to wait in line. Some of these surfing hotspots include Agadir and Anchor Point. Here, waves traditionally break at a kilometer offshore.

To truly soak in and enjoy the scenic countryside, embark on a Morocco hiking or trekking adventure through the mountains. These vessels race across the Moroccan terrain traveling thousands of kilometers in the process to provide endless excitement for sports enthusiasts.

If you’re in need of a scaled-down version, you’ll be sure to enjoy the Friendship Raid� event. Covering terrain between Tangiers and Rabat–courtesy of the High Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert–this is an un-timed race. There are no pre-qualifications for this event. It is open to anyone with a motorbike or four-wheel drive vehicle.
