This amazing building is the worlds third largest mosque and Morocco’s largest, funded with donations from the Moroccan population! Hassan II was king of Morocco from 1961 until his death in 1999 and the mosque was built to celebrate the kings 60th birthday. It opened in 1993 becoming for many the heart of Casablanca and a well known land mark.
