Ramadan is a sacred month observed by Muslims worldwide. For Muslims around the world, the month of Ramadan is a time of reflection, devotion, and stepping into new stages of spiritual growth. Lasting for anywhere between 29 to 30 days, according to Islamic beliefs, Ramadan commemorates the first revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad.
I hope this Ramadan brings you peace, joy, and blessings beyond measure.
Ramadan Mubarak. May Allah gives us the strength to fulfill the essentials of this month.

Medina of Fez
Spectacular and chaotic, different and chaotic, authentic… and chaotic. There are multiple adjectives to define it, but chaos is always part of the description. This is a complete mistake. Confusion seeks order and stability, but this place has remained practically unchanged for centuries.

The faux-pas we commit when we say that the Medina of Fez is chaotic has to do with being bombarded with something so complex that we do not know how to process it. It is a design so fascinating and endless that every time we visit it we see a new facet of the gem, but we never see it all.

The following is nothing more than a humble attempt to scratch the surface of one of the most intriguing microcosms in the world.

Merzouga is one of the gates of the Sahara which is a small magnetic village located in the middle of the sands. It’s the territory of the Erg Chebbi, a world of dunes, palm groves, tracks and hikes. Roam through the desert and explore these expansive sand bathed in sunshine and a magic atmosphere. You walk in the middle of these arid vastness when, at the bend of a dune, and you see a lake : you’ve just arrived to Dayet Srij.

Stilts are characterizing its waters, above which are flying doves and wagtails, and storks are hovering. In the middle of the desert is established a wide variety of ecosystems, the richest of Morocco.

The Moroccan east is full of curiosities. Get immersed in the mountains and deserts and say hello to a completely different country !

The sunset over the Medina in marrakech is unique and not one to miss!
Over the Medina:
The Medina in Marrakesh, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1985 and otherwise referred to as the ‘Millennial Old Town’ is the historical center of the city, of Medieval origin. Here you will find the majority of the monuments and museums, making it not only the trendiest area but also the most charming. Embark on an adventure in this labyrinth of confined and busy streets, while admiring the diversity around you.
Koutoubia Mosque architecture
They say imitation is the greatest compliment, and the 12th-century 250ft-high minaret has quite the reputation as an architectural muse. It’s the prototype for the Giralda in Seville, Spain, and Le Tour Hassan in Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Unlike Middle Eastern mosques, which have domed minarets, the Koutoubia's square design is an Amazigh trademark.
There are no stairs inside the minaret, only a ramp that the muezzin would have once ridden up on horseback to give the call to prayer.

Amazing Berber village located high in Atlas mountains, Aroumd, Morocco
Aroumd is a small Berber village in the Ait Mizane Valley of the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Its population is around 1,900. Its altitude is 1900 m above sea level. Aroumd is 40 minutes' walk up the valley from Imlil, and is quieter and seen as more traditional. Aroumd is the highest village in the Ait Mizane Valley and so forms a good base for summitting Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. The route into Toubkal passes by Aroumd which is in Toubkal National Park.

Perhaps the most iconic gardens in Marrakech, the Majorelle Gardens receive busloads of visitors each day who flock to the former home and current resting place of Yves Saint Laurent. Originally owned by painter Jacques Majorelle, the gardens were abandoned before Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé purchased the land and revitalized the gardens. Today, visitors can walk among the plants from five continents and admire the art-deco Majorelle blue home while listening to the splashing of the fountains.

the red city
MARRAKECH
Surrounded by a vast palm grove, the medina in Marrakech is called the “red city” because of its buildings and ramparts of beaten clay, which were built during the residence of the Almohads. The heart of the medina is Jamaa el-Fna square, a vibrant marketplace. Nearby is the 12th-century Kutubiyyah (Koutoubia) Mosque with its 253-foot (77-metre) minaret, built by Spanish captives. The 16th-century Saʿdī Mausoleum, the 18th-century Dar el-Beïda Palace (now a hospital), and the 19th-century Bahia royal residence reflect the city’s historical growth. Much of the medina is still surrounded by 12th-century walls; among the surviving gates to the medina, the stone Bab Agnaou is particularly notable. The modern quarter, called Gueliz, to the west of the medina developed under the French protectorate.
