🕎A MEDITATION FOR EACH NIGHT OF CHANUKAH🕎

SEVENTH NIGHT: Most light is intended for utilitarian use, to brighten its surroundings. The lights of the menorah, however, are different. We are not allowed to use their light (which is why we kindle an additional candle, the shamash.) This symbolizes things that are inherently valuable, not necessarily for what they achieve or contribute. Each of us is a candle, and our self-worth - and our relationship with God - is not dependent on our achievements, but is essential and intrinsic to our being.

Does having inherent worth and an intrinsic relationship with God affect the way you view yourself?
