Get to know Denys, our Team Leader - Front End Developer. Denys is not only a great Team Leader but also a great runner. Read his story below 👇
🔹Denys, who are you?
I’m 32 years old and have been working in IT for more than 10 years. I have been a part of PG for more than 2 years as a lead in the Front-end team. We are working on some new interesting features and extensions for our ticket shops. Every day we communicate with people from other teams, departments and always try to help each other. So, my day consists of a lot of discussions and sometimes brainstorming. Every day I have new challenges and I'm always happy to achieve new goals. I do some sports like cycling, running and going to the gym. But during the pandemic, there were a lot of restrictions and my favourite activity became running.
🔹What is your your position at Platinium Group?
I am team lead in the Front-end team. Our team consists of 8 team members. We are working with the Formula 1, MotoGP and Gootickets ticket shops. Our main responsibilities are maintaining existing ticket shops, extending them with new functionalities and migrating old ticket shops to the new platform.
🔹How many times do you run a week and why?
I like running because I do not need to go anywhere, I do not need special clothes or equipment. I just need some time. Usually I run 3-4 times a week and in total it’s around 30-50km/week. I have enough time for recovering. When I'm not running, I'm cycling. Whilst I'm exercising, I can listen to podcasts, music, interviews or books. Also, I have a good chance to call my mother or other relatives to ask how they are. If I want to run in silence, I spend the time thinking and it has really been valuable for me. So, I can do few things at the same time.
🔹What do you like the most, competitions or run for fun?
Sometimes I take a part in local competitions or even travel to another city. But it’s not something I'm focusing on. Usually it’s just for fun and a good way to spend time with friends. My main goal is to keep exercising, because the most important thing for me is the process and the feeling I receive from doing sports.
