MAGIC IN THE SKY!

Tomorrow we are off to Zurrieq, one of the oldest towns in Malta. After wandering around the old town we will visit the famous Blue Grotto, it is so beautiful, the caves may be small but each one has individual aspects that are just simply amazing! The colour of the water is literally blue, when your hand is out in the water it goes blue! We’ll swim off the boat in the crystal clear water - refreshing and totally invigorating.

We’ll eat the freshest fish you’ve ever tasted at The Kingfisher Restaurant with its great atmosphere, warm and welcoming staff it will prepare us for the evening’s entertainment - The Magic in the Sky.

At about 9.30pm we will witness the spectacular Magic in the Sky - the annual pyromusical show held on the eve of the feast day in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel . It is organised by the Mount Carmel Fireworks Factory and the show is renowned for its colourful choreography and has become a fixed annual event for all fireworks enthusiasts in Malta.

What a day, I can hardly wait...

GET FASHION FIT!
I’ve been looking at how fashion looks are shaping up this summer, and I’m feeling good for both men and women with easy-to-wear looks that offer cool style for when the heat really hits!

Men can’t go wrong with a pair of white jeans, teamed with either tassled loafers or mocassins (use talc and no socks!). The button down shirt is a key item worn on it’s own or over a basic Tee - roll up your sleeves and you are good to go!.

I’m loving the wave of white fashion moving on from the fun at Wimbledon. White is without doubt, the new back! Dress are strappy. culottes are teams with fitted Tees and pumps and a light weight linen blazer works well when (and if) it gets chilly. The main item is the classic white shirt - worn big are even bigger as a dress.

WALTER WHITE RETURNS?
Breaking Bad’s Walter White Could Return in 'Better Call Saul’!
The great news for all ‘Breaking Bad’ fans is that producer Peter Gould has revealed that the 'Breaking Bad' spin off will take place before, during, and after the events of the original series, allowing for the possibility of Walter and Jesse being more involved than previously thought.

In an interview with NY Daily News Peter Gould says “One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before ‘Breaking Bad,’ during ‘Breaking Bad,’ and after ‘Breaking Bad'. That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on ‘Breaking Bad,’ “. While he wants Cranston to join the show, or at least guest-star, he is adamant that the show will not stand or fall on Walter White’s return. I can’t wait to get into some more ‘Bad’ action….

HOLIDAY PLANS?
My sister thinks I am the luckiest girl in the world living and working here in Malta (and perhaps I am!). This summer Sara is coming over to stay on her own as her children are old enough to want to stay at home and go off to some of the great music festivals in the UK. I can’t wait to spend a week enjoying lazy days in the sun, long lovely meals and fun at the Club and Casino. However, she also wants to take in some of the sights and sounds of historic Valletta, so I have chosen my top 5 places which I will fit into her stay. I love Tuscany - I always have... since my student days when I made my first visit to the glorious and historic town of Lucca, I have returned many times.

There really is something special about the long, lazy days in the sun with incredible food, extraordinary landscapes and villages rich in history… but Tuscany is also a centre for cultural events – from art,literature, cinema and music.The picturesque town of Lucca plays host to some massive names in music this summer. LADIES WHO LUNCH
Today I am taking some time off from Long Harbour Casino for shopping and lunch with the girls. First we’ll head to Blush and Panic which a a gorgeous clothes shop selling exquisite vintage and vintage-inspired clothes, as well as wonderfully unusual pieces of costume jewellery.

Then we’ll head to Kantina Cafe & Wine where we’ll sip iced coffee with Baileys and nibble on a pistachio cannoli. The alfresco seating on St John's Square is perhaps Valletta's best people-watching spot - another one of our hobbies - particularly as the summer season hots up!

GET IN SHAPE WITH MATT!

Here in Malta it feels like summer’s really arrived. I’m sitting at my desk and through the window I can see bright blue sky and just a glimpse of sea in the harbour. It has made me happy that I kept up my diet and the training programme given to me by our lovely Club member and Personal Trainer, Matt.
