LA LÉGENDE DU LAC ANDRAIKIBA 🌊
A chaque lieu, site, forêt, eau... de Madagascar est rattaché un être légendaire ou une histoire plus ou moins pittoresque, plus ou moins dramatique.😉
C'est le cas du lac Andraikiba, situé entre Betafo et Antsirabe. C'est un beau lac formé par le cratère d'un ancien volcan à eaux profondes, avec route circulaire et presqu'île boisée. Comme autour de tant de beaux sites naturels, dont le pittoresque a frappé l'imagination des anciens, autour du lac Andraikiba s'est tissée une légende touchante.🤗🤍
Un homme appelé Rakotoarivelo a une femme du nom de Rangorivao. Celle-ci, restée longtemps stérile, n'a un enfant qu'au seuil de la vieillesse, un garçon à qui elle donne le nom d'Indrianirina-le Désiré.❤️
Cependant, entre-temps, Rakotoarivelo s'éprend d'une jeune prétentieuse, Razanaboromanga. Il fait part à Rangorivao de son intention de devenir bigame. Sur le refus obstiné de son épouse, il propose alors, sinon impose, un pari : celle des deux femmes, Rangorivao ou Razanaboromanga, qui aura traversé le lac dans les deux sens et le plus vite, deviendra sa favorite.👍
Le pari a lieu. Il va sans dire que Rangorivao, affaiblie par l'âge, le perd et même coule. Elle a juste le temps de lancer à son mari, ce cri désespéré : "Veloma, efa kiba", "adieu, je meurs". C'est depuis ce jour-là, dit on, que le lac est appelé "Andrenikiba", là où une mère a trouvé la mort, qui s'est modifié par la suite en "Andraikiba", là où un père s'est tué. 🙀

THE LEGEND OF THE LAKE ANDRAIKIBA 🌊
In every place, site, forest, and water of Madagascar, there is a legendary being or a more or less picturesque, more or less dramatic story. 😉
Such is the case with Lake Andraikiba, located between Betafo and Antsirabe. It is a beautiful lake formed by the crater of an ancient volcano with deep waters, a circular road, and a wooded peninsula. Like many beautiful natural sites that captured the imagination of the ancients, a touching legend has woven around Lake Andraikiba. 🤗
A man named Rakotoarivelo had a wife named Rangorivao. She remained barren for a long time and only had a child in old age, a boy whom she named Indrianirina, meaning “The Desired.” However, in the meantime, Rakotoarivelo fell in love with a young and arrogant woman named Razanaboromanga. He informed Rangorivao of his intention to become a bigamist. When his wife stubbornly refused, he proposed (or rather imposed) a bet: whichever of the two women, Rangorivao or Razanaboromanga, could cross the lake in both directions the fastest would become his favorite.👍
The bet took place. It goes without saying that Rangorivao, weakened by age, lost the bet and even drowned. She had just enough time to cry out to her husband in despair: “Veloma, efa kiba,” which means “Farewell, I die.” Since that day, it is said that the lake was called “Andrenikiba,” where a mother met her death, and later modified to “Andraikiba,” where a father took his own life. 🙀
