While traveling, we always look for fun ways to “burn time” while we wait to depart 😆.

So while in Orlando we hit up this Colombian spot that recommended , Super Rico.

Then we found a local library right down the street 💪🏾!

We was able to try some tasty plant based food and find the largest Geronimo Stilton book collection that my daughter has ever seen 😆 (now she wants to love to Orlando) 😂😂😂!

Which type of accommodations are you most comfortable with?

When it comes me and my family, we aren’t picky or set to only one style of accommodations. We’re pretty much down for another decent, that will meet our basic needs, and within our budget. 💪🏾

We don’t need fancy room service, BUT we definitely ain’t sleeping with roaches 😂.

I know dining out is fun, but dining out for EVERY meal with a family of 5 is going overboard😅. We’ll happily stop at the nearest grocery store, grab us some fruit and water and keep it pushing 💪🏾💙

If you know us, you know we take our children EVERYWHERE, but on THIS particular trip we didnt! WHY? Because it was someplace we’ve never been and we wanted to experience entering a new continent without 3 additional bodies, if you know what I’m saying 😏. ALSO, we hardly have a chance to take our “Mommy/Daddy” hat off, so we took FULL ADVANTAGE of that opportunity 🤣.

We promised we’d take them (to Tanzania) on the next go round though 😉

⬇️INSIGHTS:
🔑 We booked our tickets through and had a great experience!
🔑Booked accommodations via AirBnb (which was inexpensive compared to US prices.
🔑Met up with a friend I met online who showed us around Arusha and took us on private excursions (if you’d like her contact info, message me 💜).
🔑We used to get around (an inexpensive alternative to Uber).
🔑We bought a TZ SIM card for our phone vs. using our US international phone plan.
🔑Lastly, we used Google translator and a money converter app to help us learn Kiswahili and manage our money !

I know we live in the age of technology and everything can be accessed from your phone,

BUT in the event your phone dies or you loose internet connection, ”HAVING important documents like (ticket confirmations, passport copies, country entry forms, etc.) in PRINTED form” may save you time and energy during your travels.

Believe it or not, me and the children’s first time flying was only 4 years ago! And to be honest, I’m happy I experienced my 1st time WITH them because they helped to keep my mind on other things, instead of the fact that I was over 30,000 feet in the air with no way of bailing out if I wanted to 😂

What age were you when you took your 1st flight? ✈️

THE LAST thing you want is for a child to have to use the bathroom while you’re in the TSA line😂

It’ll save you so much time if the whole family uses the bathroom before leaving the house, before going through TSA, after TSA, and before you board the plane!

I know it sounds like I’m being dramatic, but trust me, an empty bladder makes things so smoother 😂💪🏾✈️!

This is the biggest room we’ve stayed in this far!
We stayed at a one of several Westgate Resorts in Florida and ended up buying a timeshare 😆🙌🏾!

On our 1st flight ever (2018), I made sure to pack activities and snacks for the children because I knew in order for me to keep my nerves at ease, I needed them to be occupied for as longggg as possible 😂.
