Santa Barbara Series: San Ysidro Ranch Admittedly, San Ysidro Ranch was the coup de gras for me. I have been wanting to visit this resort for decades! Ever since I learned about the Kennedy’s honeymooning in this Uber romantic location, I was obsessed with the thought of hidden resorts along the California coast. Then clients telling me about The Stonehouse for dining…let’s just say I was not disappointed. At all. In fact, it was my absolute favorite spot. The compound is just so overwhelmingly aesthetically pleasing, I felt like I couldn’t take it all in. Gorgeous food and flowers and foliage. The cottage chic decor. The subtle glam of old money. I just loved this place. I also learned that Winston Churchill would also seek refuge here, enough times they named a cottage after him. Oh, and do not worry, my son was not served alcohol…it was a smoked “mocktail” which he now requests at all fancy dining locations we take him to. Of course, he is greeted with a blank stare because most places he’s been are just not on the same playing level as the Stonehouse. @sanysidroranch is perfect for a romantic getaway, solo soul searching, quiet mornings, celebratory lunches, a family retreat with young adult children San Ysidro Ranch is a Virtuoso property. Santa Barbara Series: Ritz-Carlton Bacara We really enjoyed the @ritzcarltonbacarasb. The property is expansive and has so much to offer a wide range of guests. I loved the bungalow we were in which had its own fire pit and grassy area. The rooms are spacious with well-appointed amenities. Families fill the spaces of outdoor lawn games and the pool. There is a beautiful stretch of beach and tho we did not have beach service, we still enjoyed exploring the coastline. The resort is in the process of a refresh to offer a more modern aesthetic with blues and creams to play off the ocean vibe. Dining options are great and there’s a Havana Cigar Lounge and live music to keep things interesting. I would suggest the Ritz-Carlton Bacara for families and celebrations.

Santa Barbara Series: Rosewood Miramar Beach 🖤🤍🌺 Perfect For: Families, Couples, Getaway Trips with Friends, Celebration Trips This was hands down my kids’ favorite out of all the properties we visited. A hideaway snuggled into the chic little town of Montecito, the Rosewood is positioned perfectly on the beach, full of vibrant colors but sophisticated airs. The energy was contagious. We could hear the live music and laughter from The Manor while we dined outdoors under the cabana stripped umbrellas at The Revere Room. Between the celeb sightings, the Bocce ball and the gourmet PB&J, the boys couldn’t get enough. What I Love: The goop store is fun! I loved all the splashes of colors throughout the resort , the bungalows, and surprisingly, the charm the train tracks lend to the overall aesthetic. Forgot how much I love Chicago. And wondering why I have not brought my kids here! Needless to say, already planning a trip with them for next summer. Such a gorgeous architectural city steeped in history, art, culture, sports, and amazing food!! Had a short and sweet visit and was able to see @pendrychicago in the stunning Carbide and Carbon building (inspired by a champagne bottle), the newly renovated @fschicago (with a DJ booth in the lobby bar and beachside service from Memorial to Labor Day on Lake Michigan), and lunched at @stregischicago who not only recently celebrated their 1st anniversary but now tout honors of housing the Most Beautiful Restaurant in Illinois and the tallest building designed by a female architect. The views were beyond stunning every which way you looked! Chicago is a special treat if you’re looking for a getaway this summer. The River Walk expansion, museums galore, baseball, hot dogs (even fancy ones!) and fireworks over the Pier! The @nobuloscabos is a gorgeous property located on the world renoun @diamantecabosanlucas golf course. More chill vibe with spacious rooms and excellent views of the expansive beach front. Three pools…Pacific(to reflect water of the Pacific Ocean), Cortez (to reflect the water of Sea of Cortez, and the Adult Pool, Nami, with some of the most impressive cabanas I’ve seen. A fun rooftop bar scene, and of course, Nobu. One of the most consistent dining experiences I have ever had no matter where I am in the would.
