For starters
Every time we raise anchor, we will put out the fishing lines, we have caught plenty of Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, King Fish, Jacks, tunas.... of course we clean, prepare and cook all catches for you. Every time we drop anchor, snorkeling gear, paddle board and any water toys aboard are always available
When we navigate, you can sit up at the fly bridge nav station where you take the wheel (certain captains do not want the guest to "touch anything" when navigating, on Katarina, we will gladly "train" anyone who would like to get a "hands on" experience), or if you prefer the rays of the sun just lounge on the nets up front, for those who prefer the shade, the cockpit in the back is fully covered with a hard top. We always have a standard itinerary but it's always very flexible, depending on the groups preferences. Imagine having your own private yacht that feels like a floating condo, it take you from one island to the next, discovering the most beautiful bays… your private cruise on Katarina will be the only expense that will make you feel richer…. Everyone comes as client but leaves as a friend, we have plenty of returning guests, references are always available. Located 114 meters above sea level, about a quarter of an hour’s walk from the dock, Vauban style Fort Napoleon, overlooks the bay of Les Saintes. Up the stairs, a museum was set up; it is dedicated to the understanding of the Fort history and of the natural environment of the island. Dominica
Mooring for two nights, two full days of excursions with a minibus and a local guide:
Titou Gorge:
'Ti tou' means 'little-throat' in Creole. This gorge was used in the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest. The short swim from a swimming hole through a narrow gorge to a powerful waterfall is charmingly spooky; it's dark down there with steep vine-clad lava walls no more than 5ft or 7ft apart. It's an ethereal and unusual place
Indian River:
With its coastal wetland dominated by the spectacular buttressed Bwa Mang trees, the Indian River is among the most picturesque of Dominica’s 365 rivers. Experienced boatmen in hand-oared river boats will take you silently past many types of wild life and plant life along the swampy river bank. See for yourself where scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed. Up the river you can visit the renowned 'Bush Bar' and try our signature rum drink, smoked fish and a variety of other drinks, juices and tasty local cuisine. Calibishie:
Calibishie is the main village on the scenic north coast of Dominica. Home to a dramatic mosaic of steep cliffs, red rocks, and rivers gushing down from the mountains, this ancient fishing village offers you a sleepy and slow-paced spot to unwind and relax, here we also visite the Pointe Baptist Estate, home to the only chocolate factory on the island. Thermal baths:
Re-ground yourself in the heart of the mountain rainforest, a uniquely Dominican experience. Relax under the shade of the forest trees, with nothing but the sound of wild birds and water cascading over rocks. Extra:
Lunch for the two days, taken in scenic local restaurants
