DelFishPam updadates
We are almost at the end of the data collection period for the Delfishpam project. The video shows part of it, the deployment of bottom recorders at the aquaculture site in Delimara.
We must thank @MaltaFishFarming for allowing us to install one of the hydrophones in their fish farm, and the operators who helped us during the various stages of placing and removing the instruments.
This allowed us to collect a lot of data, which we have slowly begun to analyze. The preliminary results are really interesting and raise slightly different questions from the initial ones.
Now comes the most challenging part: data analysis and conclusions. Stay tuned for upcoming updates

🌍 From September 6th to 16th, I had the incredible opportunity to join Viviana Premazzi as her Travel companion on the first leg of @semesteratseafall2024 Sea. Thank you, Viviana, for inviting me to be part of this intense (though short) adventure! 🛳️
Viviana was selected as the Intercultural Communication instructor—a huge achievement on its own! On top of that, she’s one of just three professors teaching Global Studies, which covers topics like Oceanography (the blue world 🌊), Intercultural Communication, and Port country discovery
What’s even more inspiring is how this reflects the work Viviana and I started together in #Malta. It’s so similar to what we developed through our program, “Life in the Mediterranean Sea,” combining marine biology and intercultural communication for team-building and corporate training. 🌱
It’s amazing to see that our shared vision of sustainability, respect for the environment, and intercultural understanding resonates—even in an academic setting like this.

So proud to see an idea we nurtured come to life on such a global scale! 🌍💙 #SemesterAtSea #Sustainability #InterculturalCommunication #TeamBuilding #OceanConservation
On the 16th of September, our founder, @Patrizia Patti Patti, with @Viviana Premazzi Premazzi, had the pleasure of taking a tour in Lisbon with Sea EO Tours We wanted to try this experience, and it truly exceeded our expectations! It was fantastic to see a company like EcoMarine Malta rine malta offering sustainable tours to raise awareness about the marine ecosystem and its inhabitants. The day was incredible—a unique and respectful experience with an unwavering commitment to sustainability

🌊 Marine Life Spotting Experience with EcoMarine Malta 🌊
Educational, emotional, and fun! Enjoy a day at sea, spotting marine life, swimming in beautiful spots, and savoring Maltese nibbles. Leave stress and rush on land, and jump on the boat with us!
Encountering dolphins is always a great emotion. To enjoy the sighting without stressing them, observe them from the correct distance at the correct speed and follow a steady route. Join us during our tours, helping us to continue our independent research!
🌊 Thanks to the Fins into the Water project, we've created informative videos to simplify understanding!
📹 These videos aim to explain the essence of our project in an accessible and engaging manner. One key focus is on Principle 3 of Mediterranean Sea literacy, which emphasizes the critical role of our marine ecosystems as climate regulators and biodiversity hotspots.
🌍 In the face of severe weather conditions like floods and droughts exacerbated by climate change, Principle 3 becomes even more vital. It highlights the necessity of sustainable practices to preserve the Mediterranean Sea's fragile ecosystem, ensuring resilience against environmental challenges.
Join us in spreading awareness about "Fins into the Water" and the steps we're taking towards marine conservation. Watch and share our videos to inspire others to dive into action for our oceans! 🌊💙

During the last marine life spotting, a team event organized by Global Mindset Development - GMD , we had a wonderful 7-year-old girl on board, Sofia.
Her reactions to the dolphin sightings were amazing. Her emotions, wonderfully genuine, are those that we all feel but often, as adults, struggle to express.
Thank you, Sofia, thank you, Viviana Premazzi , for the video, and thank you to the dolphins for giving us this extraordinary moment!
Special thanks to Patrizia Patti and Giovanni De Lazzari for excellently guiding the event

With the arrival of good weather, our sea adventures will start! But as we set out to explore the sea, let's keep in mind a crucial aspect:
‼️ R E S P E C T ‼️
🐬 Whether we encounter playful dolphins, turtles, or graceful seabirds, it's essential to stick to the code of conduct. 🐬
🔝Doing so ensures that our encounters are safe, memorable, and sustainable, not impacting these magnificent creatures too much.

I wholeheartedly thank ERA - Environment & Resources Authority for listening to our requests, considering our reports, and standing on the side of marine inhabitants during this critical time.
🐬🐬Dolphins, as well as turtles, are under increased pressure.
❗️It is important to follow a few simple rules to enjoy dolphin sightings where they can truly behave as they wish, without being forced to endure the bow waves of boats or intentionally created waves from jet skis and dinghies.
🙏Thank you. This is a significant step towards dolphin conservation in Malta.
🐬🥰Thanks to Kate G. for the video explaining the Code of Conduct. You can observe our approach when interacting with dolphins.
