🥢 Whether in a restaurant or market stall, chopsticks are the go- to cutlery. These can be found in a drawer under then table, same with napkins and spoon for soups. It’s important to know how to handle chopsticks to eat noodles, pizza, rice, kimbap and everything in between. 📟 Most restaurants have a digital dynamic menu, that is an electronic device on the table to make orders or call the staff. 🍖 BBQ and grilled meat is the most loved option for dining. You can enjoy your ordered meat on iron plates or mini charcoal grills served right in front of you. Sometimes you grill yourself and other times a waiter chef grills for you.🍛 Several side plates like bean sprouts, sautéed tofu, fish cake stir-fry, kimchi, and various pickled vegetables are served on the table for sharing, so everyone can taste equally, and can be topped up when emptied. Same with the grill in the centre of the table, grilled meat is to be shared. 👨‍🍳 Some restaurants do not have waiters - you order yourself, you serve yourself, and some other times you grill meats yourself. This was the strangest for us since when we had to cook we weren’t sure exactly when and how. ✂️ Scissors and thongs are the chefs best friend in the BBQ. Scissors are used to chop and cut meat, fish, kimchi and everything else. The overall Korean dining experience left us both baffled and in awe due to being very different. We were choosing random restaurants and having a new experience every day.

South Korea - where to start?! We are hooked to this place - South Korea has exceeded all our expectations. We’ve been exploring the country for 3 weeks, travelling 1500km by rented car or rented motorbike, traversing west to east and north to south. We have roamed the streets of the 3 biggest cities (Seoul, Busan & Daegu) and trekked in several National Parks and Korea’s highest summit - and all we can say is WOW.

It’s safe, it’s modern, it’s unique, it’s different! We loved the food, ethiquette and people’s calm manners. The temples and traditional Hanok architecture give an added twist to this ultra modern part of the world.

We highly suggest you consider a trip to South Korea anytime soon, especially Busan and Seoraksan NP.

During our stay in Tanzania we visited a Masai Tribe. They performed a ceremony for us and welcomed us into their village and houses, explaining traditions, ways of life, education and culture.

As African as it gets 🌍 completely in awe at the world’s human diversity.

What a show 🤩 3 days visiting 3 different National Parks in Tanzania, encountering large populations of diverse wildlife in their natural habitat 🦓 🐘 🦒

Day 5: We are now walking under the shadows of Uhuru summit, reminding us about her majesty every time we look up 🤩

We had a very windy night which almost blew or tents off, but thankfully this morning the weather settled 🙏

All the Group is in high spirits as we make our way to the final camp 💪

SUPPORT HAPPY FEET campaign came to live today, as we witnessed our Porter team shine with glee upon receiving trekking and trail shoes kindly donated by the Maltese community.

Before starting our journey on the mountain, we showed our appreciation to the Porter crew, thanking them for their hard work and presenting them with 50 pairs of shoes. They sang for us - happiness shown on their faces; a small treat for them before embarking on the grueling days ahead.

Day 1 in Tanzania, we’re immediately off to immerse ourselves in African life - visiting a coffee farm and discovering the secrets of coffee production, trying our hands at roasting and preparing the freshest coffee.

We then swam in the cool waters of Marangu waterfalls nestled in a lush valley - relaxing in a picturesque, tranquil setting.

We then visited a local tribe centre, learning about African warfare, underground caves and traditional houses.

An incredible start to our adventure here in Tanzania.
