Welcome home 9H-NEO 😍

A brand new 180-seater Airbus A320neo has joined Air Malta’s fleet yesterday as the 10th aircraft.

It is branded Nickelodeon in anticipation of next year's Nickelodeon Treasure Hunt, an event for families set to take place in Malta during the Easter period between 13 and 18 April.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Our new hand baggage policy for guests flying in Economy Class (Go Light, Go Smart, Go Flex tickets) comes into effect Monday 14 May 2018.

Due to restricted to limited storage space in the cabin when a flight is full or nearly full, only the first 80-100 trolleys at the gate will be permitted on board. The remaining hand baggage will be taken into the hold for free. Any baggage beyond the maximum weight and dimensions or second pieces (e.g. large handbags, backpacks, second hand baggage etc) will be subject to a charge of €80 per bag at the departure gate which can only be paid by credit card.

We take this opportunity to remind all our guests that the main hand baggage should not exceed 10kg in weight and measure 55 x 40 x 20cm maximum to fit in our baggage sizers which can be found at any airport. Read in more detail at goo.gl/BR5Suw

Today we are celebrating the start of our summer schedule with our very first flight to Lisbon, Portugal, which took off at 12:15!

A press conference was held earlier this morning at Malta International Airport to inaugurate the route Malta-Lisbon addressed by our Chairman Dr. Charles Mangion and Malta Tourism Authority's Chairman Dr. Gavin Gulia.

We wish our first guests on this route a great flight experience and enjoyable stay, whether in Portugal or Malta.

We would like to inform all our guests flying out of Aeroporti di Roma: Fiumicino - Ciampino (Fiumicino) that as from Sunday 25 March 2018 check-in will be available at Terminal 1. This change is a result of the airport's refurbishment programme, currently in progress.

Guests landing at Rome's Fiumicino Airport will continue to disembark through Terminal 3 (Schengen Flow).

Our flights to Lourdes, France are now officially on our summer schedule!

Air Malta will start operating a twice-weekly scheduled service to Aéroport Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées in the enchanting French town of Tarbes/Lourdes every Monday and Friday as from 29 June 2018.

This destination also makes it possible to visit Bordeaux and Toulouse in neighbouring regions, and also San Sebastián and Bilbao in Northern Spain.

Air Malta will be introducing a new direct service between Catania and Vienna with a twice weekly service from Malta to Vienna via Catania (and vice versa) every Tuesday and Friday, as from 19th January. This announcement is a significant step towards the growth strategy and development of a second hub on our neighbouring island of Sicily.

Flights can be booked at www.airmalta.com, starting from as little as 39€ one-way from Catania, and 59€ from Vienna (Go Light, hand luggage only)

ALERT: Between 15th January and 04th February we are offering a 50% discount on all flights booked as Go Smart between Catania and Vienna, a RESCUE FARE for all those passengers who have seen their booking cancelled by other airlines.
