The Daphne Lungaro Folklore Group The Daphne Lungaro Folklore Group is a Maltese traditional folklore dance group. Artistic Director Daphne Lungaro A.R.A.D. A.I.S.T.D.

formed The Daphne Lungaro Folklore Group in 1975. Since then the Company has worked closely with The Maltese Ministry of Tourism and Culture, the Malta Tourism Authority, Air Malta, leading Hotels and Tour Operators and other International Artistic Directors. The Company is a traditional group which consists of female dancers only. The repertoire consists of distinct dances each symbolising diffe

rent aspects of Maltese Folklore. The Company has performed in Great Britain, Ireland, former Yugoslavia, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Zimbabwe, Morocco, United States of America, Canada, Hong Kong and Brussels. The Company has represented Malta at various prestigious International events that include:

The First World Folk Festival held in Munich Germany
Sereno Variable for World Net Vision
The Fifteenth Commonwealth Games held in Victoria, British Columbia Canada
Euro Park Germany
Expo 2000 in Hanover Germany
Walt Disney World 2000 Epcot Centre USA. Chinese New Year Celebrations 2006 Hong Kong
July 2007 Brussels - which marked Malta's forthcoming adoption of the Euro.
