Malta celebrates its first mass concert (standing) after months of restrictions to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Heritage Orchestra presented @petetongofficial, an iconic classical electronic music event to remember. The event stood out for its impeccable organization within the framework of biosecurity protocols.
Before entering, the organizers took the temperature of the attendees, checked I.D and vaccination certificate, in addition to placing a tag to indicated in which sector of the public they should be located with their bubble group.
A big well done to the Maltese authorities who are doing the due processes to safely enjoy these types of activities.

An amazing Maltese craft we are seeing less of is that of creating the astounding Maltese traditional tiles! The Maltese signature tiles all burst with color and style and you can nowadays mostly find them in old Maltese houses or farmhouses.
These tiles are made face down so that the first layer you see when they are done is the patterned one which is made with specific moulds. The process is divided in 3 stages. First, a coloured layer mix consisting of marble dust, cement, and pigment is made which is poured into the segments of the mould. After they are done, the artisans shake the form a little to make sure the colours settle down so that when they remove the mould, the colours do no mix. Then, a second layer is made of cement and sand which is dried and cured before being used. This layer is very absorbent soaking up all the water from the first layer. A third and last layer which gives the tile its strength is made from cement, sand, and hard stone chippings
