Fuvahmulah, the One Island Atoll wasn't always like the way it is today. According to experts, the island used to be a C shaped atoll like many others in the Maldives. The formation of the One Island Atoll as we know it today began when the atoll closed in on itself, changing the salt water lagoon that was in the middle in to the two fresh water lakes and creating the marshlands in the center of the island. This why the residents of the island live on the outer edges of the island while the center remains mostly untouched.

The most special thing about Fuvahmulah is the people, the way how they live, interact and the kindness that vibrates from one heart to the other.

Today we meet Inah as he tells us the story of Tiger Sharks and Fuvahmulah,

Growing up in Fuvahmulah Inah loved the ocean and everything in it. He describes the sea not just as a passion but as home where he feels content.

He has always had a special relationship with the pelagic life and dreamed of sharing the experience with the world and this is what laid to foundation of what we know today as Pelagic Dive Fuvahmulah.

Being one of the pioneers of diving in Fuvahmulah, Inah and his team has done incredible work not only just for diving but to protect the marine life and the environment.
Our goal is to support such causes and to support the local communities in all aspects.
