The Abraj Kudai is a massive hotel currently under construction in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is set to become the largest hotel in the world, with a staggering 10,000 rooms and spanning 1.4 million square meters. The sheer size of the Abraj Kudai is truly impressive, with the hotel set to feature 12 towers that reach a height of 45 stories.

One of the most unique features of the Abraj Kudai is its four helipads, which are capable of accommodating up to 30,000 guests at once. This is especially important given the hotel's location in Mecca, which is a popular destination for religious pilgrims from around the world.

In addition to its impressive size, the Abraj Kudai will also feature a wide range of amenities and facilities for guests to enjoy. This includes a large shopping mall, numerous restaurants and cafes, conference and meeting rooms, a spa, and much more.

Despite its massive size, the Abraj Kudai has been designed with sustainability in mind. The hotel will feature a number of environmentally-friendly features, such as solar panels, green roofs, and rainwater harvesting systems.

The Abraj Kudai is set to open in the near future, and is expected to become a major landmark in Mecca and a symbol of the city's continued growth and development.

"Oh, mountains of Mecca, what can you say - Of the day that Prophet Ibrahim (AS) passed your way?
He was instructed by Allah to build
A house of peace where people will pray… Oh, mountains of Mecca, how was the dawn On the day that my Prophet Muhammad SAW was born? How did it feel knowing he was to be
The last and most beloved of all?
Oh, mountains of Mecca, bear witness that we
To the oneness of Allah testify"

⌛ *Time management tips in the Haramain* 🕋

▪️Always stay focused
▪️Keep the objectives of one's trip of umrah in mind
▪️Renew one's intentions often
▪️Learn about the rewards of the various actions of ibadah one will do, it is more likely one will carry it out better when one understands the promises of Allah attached to it.
▪️Introspect at the end of every day regarding how your time was spent (make muhasaba) and how to improve the ibadaat targets
▪️Improve and increase daily targets for ibadah and good actions
▪️Keep distractions at a minimum; social media, aimless walking the malls, socialising in coffee shops, etc.
▪️Make a shopping list for your gifts. Take out part of one day only for shopping, it will save time and finish it up.

*Set S.M.A.R.T goals* for yourself as far as
🔲Tawaaf
🔲Zikr
🔲Fasting
🔲Quraan tilawah
🔲Dua
🔲Nafl salaah
🔲sadaqa
🔲feed people in Haramain

💡Prioritize ibadah of the place and time.
Remember all actions are multiplied in reward سبحان الله !

*S... be specific* : Write your goals down. Once you have made an intention, it will become more resolute.
*M... measurable* : eg. a complete khatam in Makkah /Madinah breaks down to 3 to 4 paras a day, 1000 durood a day, etc.
*A... attainable* : everyone knows their own capacity. Why not challenge yourself!
*R... realistic* : be realistic in goal setting
*T... Time* : Most important! Use your time well⚠️.

Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has said (something to the effect), *"There are 2 favours, with regards to which most people are neglectful, time and good health."*

Many people set a target to recite between 1000 to 10 000 durood daily in Madina shareef

And 1000 to 10 000 kalima tayiibah in Makkah
1x Quraan khatam in Makkah
1 x Quraan khatam in Madina
And several tawaaf daily according to capacity

We should take courage and plan accordingly, we also have the same 24 hours in a day and surely can set high targets of ibdaat to increase our connection with Allah

⏳When one sets out on the journey, the clock starts ticking, every minute of our journey to the Haramain counts.

Be grateful to Allah for accepting us to undertake this mubarak journey. An important part of gratitude is to spend our time well.

May Allah accept all our ibadah with aafiyah🤲🏻

*How fortunate is the guest when the host is Allah Ta'ala*❣️

When we receive an invitation to an exqusite event with an outstanding venue from a VIP Host then we become so excited and eagerly await the date of the occasion.

Much more excited we need to be when the host is the Master Allah Ta'ala himself and He chose a selected number at different times to be His guests on the journey to Haramain Shareefain.

It is even more important for us to understand the sanctuary of this invitation, the sanctuary of the venue and the event ,so let us try to begin with the correct intention...

Let us educate ourselves and our family about the sacredness of this important journey of Umrah or Haj.

There are various valuable books, inspiring talks and also programs arranged by Ulema to enable us to prepare for this sacred journey.

May Allah accept us all to be among the guests of Allah and spend our time during this special invitation in a way that is most pleasing to Allah Ar- Rahman

Traveling for Umrah with kids aged 3 and 5...
By Sr Asmaa Dendar Surtee.
🕌Haj & Umrah group 🕌
💙Valuable tips and advices 💙

Alhamdulillah Allah Ta'ala invited us to visit his Mubarak lands and Allah Ta'ala makes every step of our journey easy...

Traveling tips...

Do not over pack hand luggage...

Have all your traveling documents, passports etc in file folders in a a4 book pouch...
Makes it easy at every check point... Let one person keep it...

Keep your money, valuables on you at all times at airports, haram etc...

We took a stroller for my 3 year old...
Best thing ever coz they got sick and use to sleep most of the time...
Gave it in when we boarded in SA and collected when we landed in Jeddah...

Abu Dhabi airport has strollers for use at the airport...

We traveled to Makkah first so had to put on ihraam @ Abu Dhabi Airport...Showered and that at home so was easy... Transit was 2 ½ hours only so had to be quick...

Dad took a backpack and I took my dischem nappy bag(next time will rather take a backpack coz your hands are free)
Took for kids small backpacks with their toys and snacks but was really unnecessary but they were excited to take... Had to push it into my bag...it's all extra things for us to carry)

Kids either sleep on the plane or play with what they give you... The games also kept them very occupied so don't worry about entertainment...

1 cabin size bag fitted all our clothing... ( Pack each person's in ziplock bags)
For men:
Ihraam
Ihraam belt
Ihraam sandal
Ihraam pins

For ladies:
1 abaya
1 trouser
1 set of underwear
1 pair of socks
1 burka
1 ihraam parda

For children (both girls):
1 abaya
1 trouser/skinnys
1 set of underwear
1 pair of socks
1 small burki

If traveling to Madina first pack one full set of clothing per person...

For the bathroom:
Use paraplegic toilet with kids...
In one drawstring bag with zip pack: (easy to hang on hook and no need to scratch when need to use the bathroom)
1 small burqa
1 small towel (swimdry)
1 bottle for istinja (pump water bottle)
½ roll of toilet paper
1 small liquid soap
1 small toothpaste/toothbrush
Miswaak
Panty liners/sanitary bag
1 pair of light weight slops
Elastic for waist( easy to tuck clothes in)
Toilet seat covers (optional) my daughter is fussy 🙈
If you a big family make 2 of these... 1 for mum and girls and 1 for dad and boys...

Snacks and Padkos:
Pack in Woolies cooler bag...
Kids look for something every now and then so pack snacks in mini ziplock bags...
(Liquids not allowed in hand luggage at OR tambo airport)

Other essentials:
Bubble gum for kids to chew on when taking off/landing
Panado tablets
Charger cable/power bag(didn't use)
I took an almost finished panado syrup for kids(shukr it went through scanners without beeping)
1 light weight musala for salaah(can use plane blanket also)

For traveling the kids wore a thin long sleeve top and skinnys... I carried their jackets in hand luggage but didn't use it...
I wore my abaya with a short burqa... Made it easier to take kids to the toilet...

If you have to sort out your own transfers... Try to take with riyaals for your transport from Jeddah to Makkah...
± SR 250...

There's a free bus that takes you but you got to sometimes wait awhile and it doesn't drop you at your hotel... Many taxi drivers are waiting at arrivals so you can use one of them or else make arrangements with someone before you leave to fetch you so you don't have to wait...

When we reached the hotel it was almost fajr Salaah time so we read our Salaah etc...
Had breakfast , settled into room and rested...
We did our umrah after asr Salaah and alhamdulillah it went off so peacefully...
Kids get hungry so carry a few snacks in your bag for them... We were not asked for any bookings etc...

We took food with which made life so easy alhamdulillah... Packed one PNP cooler bag with Makkah food and 1 with Madina food... If you put a box into cooler bag food stays colder for longer... Packed food in ziplock bags and then in another packet...

Label nicely coz once frozen everything looks the same... Shukr stayed very nicely...
Kept our Makkah food with us but gave one of the people who store food our Madina food to keep... He charged SR15 a day...
Used a 1 plate stove and pan to warm food... Please take a travel adapter from here as a 3 pin adapter is difficult to find...
Alhamdulillah didn't scan our bags at Hyatt regency in Makkah or Taiba front hotel in Madina...

Meals:
Keep something for Padkos for return...
Make a time for lunch and supper everyday...
Know what you warming for the day so you ready...
Take paper plates,
Throw away Glasses/tea cups/spoons etc...
1 small table cloth...
Dish Cloth for wiping
Small dishwashing liquid and sponge to wash up...
Used a ice cream Tupperware to make things like 2 minute noodles/smash etc...

Snacks:
Biscuits
Sweets
Chocolates
Gums
Pretzels
Nuts(packed in small zip lock bags)
Take whatever your family enjoys

(Try to cover all the moorat before your leave. Eg the bakers man, nestle birds etc... Even on kids toothpaste medicine etc)

Cellphone chargers
International plug
Shoe bags
Marker/tape/scissors
Cling wrap for bags
Child leash (used it alot especially in Makkah)
Umbrellas for rainy weather (didn't use)

When going to the Haram with children...
Take snacks and a toy
(kids enjoyed their writing boards)
Tasbeehs/their taktee/supara
Take extra sweets (make kids give to all the other kids in the Haram) kids enjoyed it...
Don't drink the cold zamzam...
Try to be early before every Salaah otherwise carry your own musala/mat... The fold up picnic mat is a nice size...
One shoe bag is enough for you and kids...
And one for dad and boys...
Children get tired carrying their own things...

Washing:
If you doing your own washing do every day... Don't pile up...
I used the hotel shampoo to wash clothes and also took a vanish bar from here... Use to squeeze nicely and I took pegs, hangers and small peg washing line with... Use to hang on windowsills and use to dry nicely... You can use the bag stand as a washing line too...

Kids use to wear their clothes/PJ's for 2 days unless dirty...
Only use to change underwear everyday...
For breakfast they use to wear a sameera...

I also had a separate abaya for breakfast so could wear for a few days unless it got dirty...

Traveling from Makkah to Madina...
Keep all your things ready the night before...
Don't forget anything...
Organize with the freezer man to drop off your food the morning that you leave...
For transport from Makkah to Madina we used one of the numbers shared on the group...
He picked it us up on time and dropped us off right at the hotel in Madina... Stopped for us for salaah on the way...
Charged SR500... Had a 7 seater H1...
Keep one light meal, snacks for kids and drinks with you in the front...
Keep your toilet bag with you in your backpack as you will need it if you stop for salaah etc...
Try reading your 1000X surah kauther while in the car...

Ziyarats:
Take shoe bag
Snacks for kids
Water/zamzam
Child leash

Madina Haram:
Children are not allowed in the ladies section...
Have to sit in the court yard under the umbrellas...
Used the pram a lot in Madina...
Booked my rawdah booking not the same day as dad...
When you go, try to go a little early...
Once you get in,they keep telling you to finish and go but just move to another spot... In that way you can sit for a long time...

When leaving for home...
Keep all your things ready...
In hand luggage keep snacks for kids... Tape and marker for zamzam... Going time we had no time but coming back time Abu Dhabi airport had a nice play area... Kids enjoyed...

Remember looking after your family is also a ibadat so don't feel despondent if you don't get to do what you wanted...
Try to set a certain amount of zikr, quraan etc to read every day...

Try to read a few minutes of taalim from fadhail hajj and seerah kitaab every day...
Try to take out sadaqa daily...
Write a list of duaz that you want to make so you don't forget and just take each day as it comes... Don't stress about routine for kids because when you get back you get back into routine...

08/03/2023

Meet Badr Al-Shaibani, a Saudi adventurer, athlete, and entrepreneur who has recently completed an epic 500 kilometer, twelve-day trek from Mecca to Medina tracing Prophet Muhammad’s footsteps along the second Hijra route. Al-Shaibani, who walked 40 kilometer every day, said that the “expedition’s goal was to highlight a journey that changed the course of history.” Work is currently underway with the relevant Saudi authorities to document and mark the second Hijra migration route, as well as to train individuals to travel the historic route as part of tourist excursions. The most remarkable part of Al-Shaibani’s expedition was the nightly stay in Cave Thawr, where the prophet once took sanctuary with Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, his key companion. I hope to one day trace Prophet Muhammad’s footsteps along the historic second Hijra route. That would be an incredible experience. Source – Arab News.
