The celebrations started on Friday the 08th with camping,,bonfire as local brewed beer was saved,story telling,and the Ngoni roots was told to gathered Hikers,Ngoma dance led by his majesty inkosi Gomani V..

On 9th December,Hikers met at lizulu Ntchewu-Malawi precisely at Ngwenyama inkosi Gomani V headquaters to comemmorate this year's International Mountains Day by continuing the good work Ngwenyama is already put in place .. as more than 200 Hikers joined hands to plant close to 5,000 trees..at Muonekera Mountain
