Invitation to Collaborate in the Christmas Dinner Project in Puerto Vallarta 2023

Dear Friends,
It is an honour to address you in this season of generosity and love, sharing with you the wonderful opportunity to be part of our annual Christmas Dinners project in Puerto Vallarta (and surrounding area).

For more than two decades, we have carried out this beautiful initiative to bring joy and hope to those who need it most in our community.

Project Description:
On December 24th, we will meet at the Los Mangos Library at 9:30 am to bag or package Christmas dinners to the most vulnerable and in need areas of Puerto Vallarta.

Each dinner consists of:
One roasted chicken, a kilo of prepared rice, a kilo of prepared beans, one kilo of corn tortilla, 4 breads, a 3-liter of soft drink and a dessert or candies that varies depending on the donations received.

We need your support:
To make this act of generosity possible, we ask for your valuable collaboration. We need financial support for the purchase of the food, packing bags, and containers for the rice and beans. We would also appreciate your help with gasoline for the vans that help us transport these Christmas gifts to the areas.

How can you Contribute:
Financial Contribution: The contribution of 250 pesos per dinner covers all elements of the dinner and helps bring hope and joy to those who need it the most.

Volunteering: We invite all volunteers who wish to join us on December 24 at the Los Mangos Library to help us packaging and distributing.

Join us to change lives this Christmas:
Every donation, large or small, makes a difference and helps make Christmas meaningful for those facing hardship. Together, we can make the reason for Christmas alive and worthwhile for all the families we reach.

How to Collaborate:
Please contact Raena coordinate your donation or for more information on how to participate as a volunteer.
Your contributions and support make this beautiful project possible.
We thank you in advance for your generosity and send you our best wishes in this holiday season.

Serving with love,
Sara de Cardona

Invitación a Colaborar en el Proyecto Cena Navideña en Puerto Vallarta 2023

Queridos amigos,

Follow Me PV’s Top 10 must-do ideas in Vallarta and the Bay area:

1. Have a street taco – yup, I know it can cause you to cringe and think of spending time in the hotel washroom, but many places in Vallarta have come a long way and the best way to find a good stand is to look for a place that has running water, where the locals are and even check out trip advisor as many people have posted their experiences.

2. Pack a lunch and head to a beach out side of Puerto Vallarta, like Destiladeras! Vallarta has many hidden treasures, including beaches that locals enjoy. Destiladeras is an expansive hide-away beach with spectacular views and is a short 30 minute drive north.

3. Take a walk at dusk on the beach. Vallarta is known for its outstanding sunsets, be sure to have your camera ready!

4. Try a new food, like fruit with chili, tamales or Mexican style vegetarian – (check out our fav spot, Planeta!) when dining out, choose something off the menu that you have not had before. Mexican cuisine is extensive and just because Ol El Paso doesn’t make it, doesn’t mean it couldn’t be your new favorite thing!

5. Take a drive south to Boca de Tomatlan and a water taxi to Ocean Grill. An amazing restaurant in a lovely cove, provides the back drop, and a fresh swim. Check out www.oceangrillvallarta.com for reservations.

6. Spend a night in Yelapa. Accessible by water taxi, take an evening to spend under the stars and explore the area. Hike to the waterfalls, go horseback riding or just unwind with a cold Corona. www.yelapa.info

7. Spend a day in Sayulita – originally a small surf town, Sayulita is full of unique shopping and delicious eateries such as the famous Choco-Banana. Take a surf lesson or sit under an umbrella and watch the waves roll in.

8. Food Tours! Either organized or not, do a progressive dining experience and start with an appetizer and beverage and then move on! Challenge yourself to try something new, share it, so if you don’t like it, no problema! A great food tour company is www.vallartafoodtours.com

9. Volunteer. There are so many great organizations that can use help. You can choose where to spend your time or money; cats, dogs, turtles, kids, woman, seniors, teaching a skill, or attending a fundraising event…countless options.

10. Spend the day at Los Mu***os beach sipping cold beverages and getting your feet massaged. Putting your feet up and enjoying your fav cocktail all the while someone massages your hard worked feet! Vendors charge a VERY reasonable price for this blissful experience.
