What is a cenote? And would you like to visit one?

A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater. 💧

Cenotes were commonly used for water supplies by the ancient Maya, and occasionally for sacrificial offerings specially in the 📍Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico.

Akumal bay is not only known because of its beautiful beaches, but also because of its barrier reef along with its seagrass beds where you can experience a close encounter with green turtles and stingrays 🐢🐠

This turtle sanctuary is located just a few miles before the town of Tulum and has done a great job preserving the area keeping the marine life safe and healthy 💙🌊

📍Holbox is a small island just off the north of the Yucatan Peninsula 🏝. And it is one of the most magical places in Quintana Roo ✨🌊.

It’s endless beaches and the colorful village makes this place unique and perfect for getaways.

Have you heard about the archeological site of Muyil? 🌴🍃

Well if you haven’t, this place is a true hidden gem in the 📍Yucatan Peninsula. Muyil is one of the earliest and longest inhabited Maya sites on the eastern coast.

This experience takes you through the Mayan jungle to explore the ruins. Right after, you will find yourself floating in the middle of the mangroves in Sian Ka’an Biosphere reserve. 🌊🙌🏻
