y Architect Jean-Loup Bitterlin in 1970, and since then it has caught the attention of the media. The roof is, in fact, a giant umbrella with an irregular center column that contains two fireplaces and a circular staircase. It has an openness, yet maintains a degree of privacy where needed. A few days by the sea in Villa Bitterlin will relax you and give you a feeling of living in a sculpture.

The oceanfront free form Villa Bitterlin inspired by Gaudi and James Hubble was featured on the cover of the Los Angeles Times Home section with 4 pages. It was built in 1970 by U.S.C. graduate, Jean-Loup Bitterlin. I have to say that it was the most unique place I have ever stayed. The intricate detail of the entire place is something you have to see for yourself.
