Oceanico Huatulco is the social enterprise of OCEANICO.org and it is how our team of Marine Biologists connect with the public in support of our dolphin & whale conservation mission. All year you can join our boat tours to explore offshore where we see dolphins and then snorkel

the coral reefs in the bays of the Huatulco National Park. We also offer whale watching tours during the Humpback whale watching season, Dec 15 - March 23. Our goals are to; offer the premier ocean eco adventures, connect our guests with sustainable marine wildlife tourism, inspire people to support ocean preservation and help fund the conservation mission of Oceanico.org

Unbelievable morning with a group of divers from who wanted to focus on exploring the big blue...we headed further offshore than normal and WOW!!!!

6-700 Spinner dolphins, 15+ Risso's dolphins (in the video), 2-4 Bryde's whales (feeding!) and 40+ sea turtles 😍🐋🐋🐋🐋🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐢🐢🐢🐢💙

Lots of Spotted dolphins, mucho amor on the seas too with both mating Green sea turtles and 4 Olive Ridley sea turtles coupling (plus another 10 solitary Olive Ridley sea turtles) before snorkeling La India in the 🤩🐬🐬🐢🐢🐢🐠🐡💙

There were also huge bait balls of fish being attacked by tuna from below and birds from above...very and maybe this will bring in the Bryde's whales in the next few days 🤞🏽

We just received an update from Happywhale about one of the whales we saw on New Years Day - January 1st, 2024. 'Inverse' was spotted in Monterey Bay, California - hopefully filling up on fish to have lots of energy reserves for the coming migration!

While it is still very early in the Humpback whale migration, we have seen several already! Each day is a new opportunity for exciting encounters with dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays and these days, even Humpback whales! 🤩🐳🐋🐬🐠🐢🐡💙

Who wants to enjoy some Dolphin Time? Huatulco is home to 5 resident species and when approached respectfully, you may find their own curiosity brings them to the bow of the boat. A moment we love to share with our guests!

What a morning! The coastal waters were green with algae and so many Mobula Rays!!! A cold current has moved through Huatulco, brought a ton of species & activity 🤩 We also saw Bottlenose dolphins (8-10) 4 groups of Spotted dolphins (60-70) Olive Ridley sea turtles (10+) and snorkeled the bay at La India - which had surprisingly great visibility and big shoals of fish hovering over the reef...
