Wanted to share a review that a recent guest sent me since it would not all fit on VRBO. We are so blessed by the joy the guests receive at VILLA LAS P***S.
Wow, where to begin on this property…
For starters, the view was absolutely amazing and can’t be beat. While there are many properties with gorgeous views around Vallarta, this villa is right on the ocean – and across from Los Arcos national park: something only a small handful of properties can offer. When you share picture of the place to your friend and family at home, they will be totally jealous!
Standing at the edge of the pool, looking down as the clear water of the ocean splashed against the rocks with a pina colada in hand was one of my favorite things to do at the end of a hot day in town. You can hear the waves all day and night which is a wonderful sound or enjoy music over the patio as well.
Each bedroom has it own sitting room or deck with a terrific view of the ocean and shoreline. I’ve stayed elsewhere, where maybe 3 out of 4 rooms have a view but one room is left looking at a wall with plants. Something to keep in mind as you compare places.
Mismaloya Beach is a 5-minute cab ride around the corner. This is great for days when you don’t want to go into town and just want to relax somewhere other than the villa. La Zona Romantica – or Romantic Zone is maybe a 10–15-minute ride or so away as well. So, its close enough to get to tons of taco carts and shopping but far enough away that you aren’t feeling swamped with tourists all around.
Marco is a wonderful houseman. Every day he will make sure you have what you need: whether it’s margaritas when you walk in the door or bottles of water when you’re on your way out! He also has contacts all over town for rides, water taxis and excursions to make your trip easier. My family found him to be very gracious and accommodating. He grew up in Mismaloya, which is the beach right around the corner and has wonderful stories to tell about the history of the area. Fun Fact: he was an extra in Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger filmed in the nearby jungle!
The house is kept wonderfully clean. You walk around barefoot every day without stuff sand and things sticking to your feet. Yessenia keeps the place sparkling clean. I was a pleasure coming home each day to a fresh house. Every morning she is there with a bright smile on her face and a nice greeting for everyone. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean as well, fresh towels all time, clean floors, no weird things in corners like at resorts.
Laura holds it down in the kitchen! There is a menu to choose from. However, a couple times we went off menu and asked her to make some other items like Carne Asada and Enchiladas. Excellent every time. Her Banana Flambe was a huge hit! We asked her to make it a couple times as a result. Make sure you try it. Fresh fruit plates every morning before breakfast – Mango, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Strawberries, Banana, and Pineapple – as well as hot coffee ready for you as you take in the morning view over the ocean.
When selecting a house, especially in the summer, AC is very important. We stayed a year prior in Conchas Chinas at a comparable villa. Let’s just say the AC wasn’t great. When I asked my family which place they preferred, it was Villa Las P***s for sure! First, they said because of the views, next they said because the air conditioning worked in every room as well as the main living areas. Sounds simple – but not all places are the same even at this price range – and it matters.
Property Management is important as well. Linda was very quick to respond to anything I had questions on. The neighbors house alarm went off one night for a bit of time. I reached out to her hoping she may have their number, and then left for dinner on the town. She had it handled immediately and even reached out after to make sure it wasn’t going off again.
I think one of the things that stood out to me about her when first scheduling our visit was how confident she is in her staff. I kept thinking about this, “man she sure is proud of them.” Once we got there and got to know them / see them in action I realized why. This staff is top notch. I’d put them up against any staff in town. They are out of the way, well really out of sight when you don’t need them, but on top of things when you do.
Groceries: I like that every 2 days they go shopping for you here. This is so convenient as needs arise as you go. Comparatively other places have asked us to order a weeks’ worth of food at once – which is impossible to get right from the get-go. Then may ask you to wait a few days before they go to the store again. Here, Laura will go shopping for you, bring back receipts and you just reimburse the villa at day’s end.
Highly recommend this place. Would definitely book again.
