Happy International Whale Shark Day.🤩

On August 30th we celebrate this event to increase awareness about these amazing sea giants, because we need to protect and conserve the whale sharks, as their numbers are declining.

Here we share some fun facts👇

🦈A whale shark is a shark
🐋They grow 14 meters in length weighing an average of 12 tons.
🦈They are so vulnerable because they move at shallow depths and slowly in the ocean.
🐋They swim at approximately five km/hour and this is why they are highly vulnerable to get caught in fishing nets and ships collisions.

There are many ways to celebrate this day, making a donation to organizations, cutting down on use of plastic by recycling, and sharing the story.🙌
