This is my latest review from one of my beautiful guests💕

If you are so lucky to get to stay at this place…it will blow your mind away! The location is perfect. The views are stunning and to hear the ocean all day and night just blew my mind away. It was my own personal oasis and I can’t wait to spend another vacation there. Also the staff was very friendly and accommodating and David is a great host and his communication made me very comfortable. I will say this…if you can book this location do it without hesitation because I might do it before you! Enjoy folks and peace and love!

The aftermath of this trip was, on the way home on the second class bus from PV to Tijuana, the bus was pulled over by the Federales and searched. Another member of our party, Kitty Hoover, a Black woman, and I were escorted out of the bus and into a roadside shed and searched and interrogated. I guess a gay Gr**go and a Black woman on a second class bus was drawing unwanted attention. We were later released and we finished the rest if the ride with the chickens and farmers and 24 hour Mexican radio blaring to our course work at UC Berkeley.

The El Dorado 402 is overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I discovered Playa de Los Mu***os when I travelled on a second class bus from Tijuana on spring break 45 years ago when I heard about a beach town where “all people are welcome.” This photo is me and a friend from architecture school named David Lynch who died of AIDS about 7 years later. It was taken in the courtyard of Posada Roger which is one of the first hotels in Zona Romantica, and founded by Roger who was originally from San Francisco. I have been returning ever since and for 20 years introducing guests to my home in the El Dorado, located on the same spot as my first visit.

Insurgentes Street Bridge Won’t Reopen Until December

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – According to local news reports, reconstruction of the Insurgentes street bridge, which connects El Centro with the Romantic Zone, and collapsed after the heavy rains that followed the passing of Hurricane Nora caused the Rio Cuale to overflow, will take between 3 and 4 months to complete.
After State Technical Committees inspected the site on Monday, the Jalisco Secretary of Infrastructure and Public Works, David Zamora, indicated that, due to the damage caused by the river’s raging currents, the remainder of the collapsed bridge must be demolished and a completely new one must be built.
However, he said, ‘it is essential that the riverbed return to normal before work begins’, so the demolition and reconstruction of a new bridge will take until December to complete.
The government of the State of Jalisco will be in charge of the work and it is not yet known how much of the natural disaster relief fund budget will be allocated to the project, since they are still assessing all of the damage caused by Hurricane Nora throughout the municipality.

There will also be an evaluation of the rest of the bridges that cross rivers in the city although, at the moment, only the second bridge that crosses the Rio Cuale in El Centro (the Vallarta street bridge) has been closed while its structural conditions are being evaluated.
