A post form ADVrider, do you agree with his thoughts?

I've been to Mexico several times, ridden in Mexico three times now, the last time alone for 5 weeks. I don't always take the advice I get on this thread, but I appreciate it for what it is: genuine help and well wishes. I am comfortable with the fact that the world is not always safe, and yet, with some thought and planning- and listening to advice- one can have an enjoyable ride and keep the risks at a moderate level.

I never travel with the idea that someone will be there to bail me out if I screw things up. I carry a SPOT, mostly so my friends and family have an idea about where I am, not so I can push the SOS button and get a helicopter. Yet I ride with the feeling that if I did get into trouble and needed some help, one of the people on this thread might go out of his way to help me.

So.............. thanks.

Following up on the Jalisco Counterfeiting Ring story we ran earlier this week, we thought it might be a good idea to tell you how to spot counterfeit Mexican banknotes. While researching the subject, we found a very informative article on Mexperience.com that's well-worth a read.

Have you tried Mexican wine? It's closer than you think...

Mexico's wine industry may not be as renowned as California or Italy, but it does exist and many consider it to be where Chilé's industry was about 20 years ago.
Fortunately, Mexico's wine region is easily accessible and both scenic and exciting. Especially on a motorcycle.
The wineries exist primarily on the road from Ensenada to Tecate (Mex 3). This region can be well enjoyed by car, but is exquisite for motorcyclists. The well paved Libre road(s) are high-speed, well-cambered, elevation changing delights of asphalt that will leave you with breathtaking vistas.

Why not head down to for a day or a weekend of great memories and experiences.
