The installation of the Main Atrium for the Houston Ismaili Center by was carried out in a confined space. The panel format, along with the size and complex conditions of the installation area, required that, from the earliest design stages, different installation strategies be considered for each typology and level.

Thanks to our team’s ability to oversee the entire project lifecycle, we developed tailored strategies and, in multiple cases, designed and manufactured custom installation jigs to ensure precise and efficient assembly.

The Main Atrium for Houston Ismaili Center by 

These large panels are made of Resilia, a High Performance Concrete developed by , creating a smooth white finish.
They are placed on a structure that reaches almost 125 ft in height, making the installation quite a challenge. The installation has been completed, and the Ismaili Center is now in its final stages of construction and installation. Soon, we will be able to share more about this project!

For Universal Studios Resort, each panel was meticulously painted using our KUKA robot, ensuring a flawless and consistent finish. To achieve this, we designed a specialized paint booth to house our KUKA, allowing us to paint these massive panels with complex geometries.

While we use advanced technology like this robotic system, we understand that true efficiency requires both adaptability and cost-effectiveness. That’s why we combine these tools with skilled craftsmanship, ensuring a seamless process. At the new Universal Stella Nova Resort in Orlando, FL, kinetica was commissioned to fabricate and install the Galaxy Bar, a standout feature of the resort’s expansive pool deck.

This iconic poolside bar shows a futuristic, organic design, with asymmetrical fiberglass panels and a white finish that seamlessly integrates with the resort’s cosmic theme. The intricate curvature of the panels made fabrication a challenge, requiring precision engineering to achieve the smooth, otherworldly form.

Inspired by the infinite vastness of space, Universal Stella Nova Resort, a Universal Resort Themed Hotel in Orlando, FL, opened on January 21, 2025. Kinetica was commissioned to fabricate and install one of the resort’s most iconic features: the porte-cochère.

The celestial journey begins the moment guests arrive. The porte-cochère takes the form of a giant spaceship, creating the illusion of being pulled into a black hole.

The fabrication of these intricate panels involved multiple steps. Made from fiberglass, they offer both durability and lightweight efficiency. Inside, a PTR system is integrated, creating a floating effect that enhances the illusion of weightlessness.

Take a look inside Lantern House, a Heatherwick Studio project featuring two residential towers connected by a lobby beneath New York’s High Line. Its lightweight GRG panels, shaped with double curvature that adapts perfectly to the structure.

A custom gasket seal isolates the ceiling from the glazing, requiring a precise fitting sequence, successfully executed with off-site supervision.

Kinetica was commissioned to fabricate complex panels for the OUM Wellness Center facade, using High-Performance Concrete (HPC) due to our expertise in creating lightweight, durable, and complex concrete elements. The façade integrates two advanced Cemex concrete mixtures:
Pervia – A permeable layer that collects water and maintains humidity, reducing the heat sensation by up to 5°C.
Resilia – A high-resistance, uniform layer that eliminates the need for internal steel reinforcement in the panels.

To achieve a seamless and sculptural look, we utilized our 7-axis KUKA robot to mill models, producing FRP molds for the concrete pieces. Each panel was custom-colored using mineral pigments to meet the architects’ specifications.

An art exhibition space requires a very specific type of lighting—constant and evenly distributed, with cool tones that illuminate every corner without overwhelming the space. This creates an environment where the artworks can be appreciated in the best possible way.

To achieve this, David Chipperfield’s design incorporates a saw-tooth roof that integrates a window and louver system, fabricated by Kinetica.
Our goal in executing this detail was to make the experience perfectly aligned with the architect’s original vision.

The Houston Endowment project features louvers with a semicylindrical shape that bends at the edges to connect with the next panel, with the largest panel measuring 4.40m. These louvers also utilized an internal rib cage system to ensure structural stability for the large-scale panels. This rib cage design was not only crucial for maintaining rigidity but also played a key role in the installation process. A custom lifting mechanism was developed to attach directly to the ribs, enabling secure and efficient panel installation.

The double-curvature aluminum shells for Expo Dubai’s AV pods were crafted using a pioneering process: hydroforming.

This technique involves shaping metal plates using high-pressure liquid to achieve the desired geometry. Typically used for smaller components, our team took the bold step of designing and manufacturing an in-house hydroforming machine, custom-built to handle the scale and complexity of this project.

Our Research and Development department led the process, blending computational design with innovative fabrication methods. The machine enabled full in-house production of the 4-meter (13-foot) tall structures, ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency.

Originally a cafeteria, La Carreta stands as a central hub of the University TEC of Monterrey, reimagined by Sasaki Architects into a versatile pavilion and workspace it has transformed into one of the institution’s most iconic landmarks.

Kinetica was entrusted with the fabrication and installation of this sophisticated structure, the interplay of glass and steel achieves a striking transparency, enhancing the pavilion’s open, weightless aesthetic. Our team meticulously planned the structure for precision and functionality and executed the installation following a “plug & play” system in which most of the elements were pre-fabricated and assembled off-site reducing our intervention on site to a minimum.

Today, La Carreta continues to symbolize architectural innovation and functionality, blending beauty and efficiency in perfect harmony.
