Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando, Casa Monterrey is a private residence that embodies Ando’s dedication to material purity and architectural integrity. The project required a custom glazing system engineered for an oversized format to harmonize with the minimalist aesthetic.

Kinetica developed, fabricated, and installed powder-coated galvanized steel profiles customized for the glazing format. These windows offer seamless operation, noiseless functionality, lightweight construction, and minimal maintenance, complementing the residence’s refined design.

While the design may appear simple, the project presented significant challenges. The custom-engineered profiles required meticulous precision and careful coordination to transport and install them at the remote site. To maintain a monolithic aesthetic, the glazing was pre-fitted into the profiles off-site, using an innovative cap-closing system.

We were commissioned to design, fabricate, and install a custom circular ceiling made of glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) for the Cemex Headquarters in Mexico City. The project involved addressing complex geometric requirements while concealing MEP infrastructure in a functional yet elegant manner.

The ceiling’s “doughnut” design was subdivided into smaller, precise components using 3D modeling. Beginning with a CNC-milled wood mold, we created a high-precision fiberglass mold that allowed for consistent pre-casting of all GFRP panels. Each panel integrated an embedded anchoring and leveling system to achieve seamless alignment and ensure ease of installation. The use of a clip system further streamlined the assembly process.

The OUM Wellness Center in San Pedro Garza García, designed by Pich-Aguilera Architects, aims to be Mexico’s first Net Zero Energy Building.

Tasked with fabricating and installing the High-Performance Concrete (HPC) façade, Kinetica used innovative concrete mixtures—Pervia and Resilia by Cemex. These panels, crafted to maintain both aesthetic and functional integrity, also enhance the building’s environmental performance. In a hot climate of around 40ºC, the porous concrete helps cool the air by absorbing rainwater, which evaporates naturally through the surface, lowering the temperature.

Our team was tasked with fabricating and installing the core metallic elements of a glass lobby for Saqqara residential tower by Foster and Partners Architects ( ).The lobby combines transparency with structural resilience, featuring intricate steel profiles encased within an elegant, oval glass enclosure.

The lobby’s primary framework consists of precision-engineered metallic columns and beams. These composite structures not only support the architectural form but also ingeniously house essential MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) fittings, including concealed water drainage. Working within tight height constraints, our approach required assembling the rooftop off-site. Complete with integrated lighting, HVAC, and electrical components, the rooftop structure was suspended by scaffolds until the lobby’s columns could be positioned below.

We were commissioned to fabricate and install an auditorium for Ternium’s headquarters, designed by Caruso e Torricella Architetti. The architects were captivated by the raw, industrial look of the metallic surfaces and chose to retain this aesthetic, perfectly mirroring Ternium’s industrial identity throughout the office space.

To achieve this, we employed parametric analysis to redesign the geometry, ensuring the structure fit together seamlessly like a 3D puzzle. The auditorium’s shell was constructed from 3/8” thick steel plates, folded rather than welded, giving the impression of a large origami sculpture. With a height of 4 meters and a diameter of 15 meters, the steel plates were fabricated at our headquarters and then disassembled for transportation to the site, where our installation team reassembled the structure with high precision.

Throwback to one of our old challenges that took us to Monterrey, Mexico, where we were tasked with creating a stunning set of stainless steel lamps for the museum’s plaza.

Each lamp was meticulously crafted from stainless steel tubes with three distinct heights—6m, 9m, and 12m, featuring a specially designed lighting mechanism. The cone-shaped top is polished to perfection, and reflects light downward, creating a beautiful ambiance. This unique design caught the eye not only during installation but also years later, leading to a request for more lamps to illuminate the plaza’s expansion.

At 520 West 28th Street in Chelsea, NYC, a luxury residential project by Zaha Hadid Architects ( ), we were entrusted with the fabrication of an iconic feature wall, that consisted of GFRC panels for the pool wall on the amenities floor. The design, inspired by the fluid ripples of water droplets, features panels measuring 4’ x 10’.

The real challenge came during installation due to the confined space and the precise positioning needed for the 700-pound panels. To overcome this, we designed a specialized trolley for the project. This trolley was engineered to move, rotate, and position each panel with precision, despite the narrow gap of just 1 inch above and below. Our trolley ensured the panels were installed smoothly and safely, demonstrating the importance of custom solutions in complex architectural projects.
