PORT DICKSON : Pemandangan Balai Cerap Teluk Kemang (BCTK), Port Dickson yang juga dikenali sebagai Baitul Hilal.

Mengikut sejarah, pada tahun 1970, tempat-tempat melihat anak bulan bagi menentukan tarikh puasa dan hari raya ditentukan di tiga tempat iaitu di Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson, Johor Bahru dan Pulau Sayak di Kedah.

Kemudian, dalam Mesyuarat Majlis Raja-Raja ke-92 pada 15 dan 16 Mac 1972 telah bersetuju supaya penetapan tarikh permulaan puasa Ramadan, tarikh Hari Raya Aidilfitri dan Aidiladha ditentukan meliputi seluruh Malaysia.

Maka, cerapan anak bulan untuk kali pertama bagi menetapkan tarikh permulaan puasa Ramadan bagi seluruh Malaysia telah dilakukan di sini pada 29 Syaaban 1392 bersamaan 7 Oktober 1972.
