EAGLE SQUARE @ DATARAN LANG, LANGKAWI ISLAND

The giant statue of an Eagle is a well-known icon of Langkawi. Langkawi's name has been derived from reddish brown eagle in two Malay words - 'Helang' (Eagle) and 'Kawi' (Reddish Brown), hence Lang-kawi.

A highlight of Eagle Square is its awesome view of the bay especially during sunrise and sunset. It is popular photo spot featuring a huge eagle statue perched over a scenic waterfront plaza.

PANTAI TANJUNG RHU, LANGKAWI ISLAND

If you are looking secluded beach away from the crowd that offers breathtaking view, then Pantai Tanjung Rhu is the right place for you! In Malay, 'Tanjung' means 'Cape' and 'Rhu' is the 'Sea Pine Tree'. So along the way, you will see the Sea Pine Trees.

Pantai Tanjung Rhu overlooks a few island ahead. During the low tide when water recedes, you can even walk down to the nearest island like Pulau Chabang. Interesting right?

PANTAI TANJUNG RHU, LANGKAWI ISLAND

Located at the northern shore of the Langkawi Island. The beach is a bit far from all the hustle bustle of the city. It is not crowded like Pantai Chenang. It is also pretty near to the jetty where the Mangrove tour boats operate from.

But once you are here, you will love the serene and the view.

FIRE SHOW AT PANTAI CHENANG, LANGKAWI ISLAND

If you like strolling along the beach, don't miss the Fire Show! It is the interesting part of the night.

The Fire Show is entertaining. The Fire Man take turn twirling firey batons, tossing and catching them, spinning sparkling pois and lighting up the night with giant cone of flame shot from a rod. The entire show is free.There are setting of bean bags for people to chill on the beach. You just need to buy drinks and enjoy the show. Let's explore Malaysia!
