"Sabah and Sarawak will streamline the terms and conditions of the Sabah-Malaysia My Second Home (Sabah-MM2H) programme and Sarawak-Malaysia My Second Home (Sarawak-MM2H), respectively, said Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Christina Liew...she said for the purpose, she will meet with Sarawak Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato’ Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah soon.

“We will discuss the matter to achieve a consensus on certain aspects such as deposit payment for participation in the programme,” Liew said.

Hopefully they can reach this target. They need to return to the simpler optional system, increase the number of review meetings, allow a Vice Director or other assignee to attend the review meetings, clear all those who have renewals (and "grandfather" these as they would an extension). This will speed up the processing f most applications to even under the three month target and allow the focus upon actual marginal applications or this with security issues to be given increased scrutiny.
