On our third day in Jordan, we ventured into the otherworldly realm of Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon, a vast desert landscape that has captured the imaginations of travellers for centuries.

Since it was still winter, the temperature change was extreme; it was 16°C during the day to 6 °C at night. So, lying on the sandy ground while waiting for sunset became a truly amazing first-hand experience for us travellers who hail from equatorial climate.

This valley was formed by sandstone and granite rock, creating a surreal landscape spanning approximately 720 square kilometres, making it the largest wadi (river valley) in Jordan. It boasts tough rocky outcrops of red rock, flat sandy areas, and salt pans. Towering sandstone mountains, narrow canyons, and vast, wavelike dunes contribute to its appeal.

Due to these features, Wadi Rum was selected as the film location for blockbuster movies like Dune (2024), The Martian (2015), Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Prometheus (2012) and more.

Hari terakhir di Amman, sebelum bertolak ke Queen Alia Airport, kami sempat dibawa melawat sendiri Amman Citadel, sebuah tapak arkeologi yang berusia beribu-ribu tahun.

Banyak tinggalan tamadun-tamadun yang pernah menguasai Amman ada di tapak arkeologi ini, dari Rom, Byzantine, sampai lah Umayyad.

Selain tu, pemandangan bandar raya Amman dari sini sangat-sangat lah menakjubkan. Dia punya perasaan tu tuhan je yang tahu.

Terima kasih bosses di kerana beri peluang melihat Jordan dengan mata sendiri dan terima kasih atas urusan perjalanan yang smooth sepanjang berada di sini. Dan juga terima kasih kerana menjemput kami untuk mengenali Jordan dengan lebih dekat.

Garam manis Pattani adalah jenis garam yang dihasilkan secara tradisional oleh penduduk Muslim di sekitar kawasan Banar, Pattani, Thailand. Garam ini dikenali sebagai “garam manis” kerana tahap kemasinannya yang rendah/lembut atau mild berbanding garam lain. Garam Pattani dihasilkan tanpa sebarang proses campuran bahan lain untuk pemutihan dan juga tiada iodin tambahan. Garam Pattani biasanya digunakan dalam masakan Melayu dan Thai sebagai bahan perasa dan penyedap.

Did you know that the eagle population in this park is on the rise, as evidenced by the latest records at the eagle feeding area in the Kilim Geoforest Park. I think this is a good news? Also, I was informed that more tour operators are getting better informed about the long term impact of feeding these birds.

The spectacular view of the Han River flowing into the ocean, including the 2-kilometre long Thuan Phuoc Bridge – the longest suspension bridge in Vietnam and one of Da Nang’s seven unique bridges – crossing it.

The lights from the bridge reflect the water at night, creating a breathtaking glimmering effect, earning it the nickname “a strip of silk on Han River”.
