The Brothers Cycling association was founded in 2012 and we have been engaged in tree planting efforts in Bukit Piton since 2017. This association is funded by membership fees, donations and volunteer work! This was our first plot in 2017.

Yesterday, we were featured in 晨报 Chen Bao/Morning Post Tawau Newspaper. Today, our story is covered in a full page article of 早安 See Hua Daily Newspaper which is available in Lahad Datu. Many thanks for news writer Mr Pang for featuring our story on how a boutique travel company like Bike and Tours had to pivot to food tourism business through Hawa’s Artisan Kitchen that gives much focus on community collaboration built sustainability. Also many thanks for relating the story of Brothers Cycling on our dear Bukit Piton Project. We truly hope that with this article conscious and responsible travellers and locals sees the importance of reforestation at restoring orangutan and wildlife habitat and enriching the forest ecosystem as a whole.

Thank you for this lovely write up and bringing awareness on reforestation for orangutan habitat and forest eco-system at Bukit Piton Forest Reserve!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. We just wanted to share this article on Bike and Tours in Lahad Datu that appeared in Tawau newspaper today. We don’t read/speak Chinese but we are utterly grateful that news writer Mr Pang of 晨报 Chen Bao/Morning Post Tawau Newspaper did a full page coverage on Bike and Tours, our recent venture into food tourism through Hawa’s Artisan Kitchen which focuses on community collaboration built sustainability. The food sales proceeds made through Hawa’s Artisan Kitchen goes to a project that is dear to our hearts – Bukit Piton Project which we committed since 2017. This is a reforestation project for orangutan habitat and enriching the forest ecosystem. Sabah Tourism also did a coverage on our story sometime in Dec last year through if you want to read our story lah 😆
