Why do we need another OTA?
Online Travel Agency, or OTA, a term make popular by the likes of Expedia, Kayak, Getyourguide, Klook etc. It represents a platform where you as a traveller can get all your travel related bookings done in one place, via web or mobile. Hence the term Online.
Tripbonder is a newcomer in the OTA space. So, the natural question is, why the hell do we need another OTA? What is so special about Tripbonder that I can’t get from other OTAs?
We do not know a lot about the travel industry and other OTAs, but we know our pains when trying to book a travel experience, especially when the plan involves a whole lots of people. We have been looking for ways to get travel experts to plan the travel for us, but most of the time, it was frustrating and time-consuming. Plus, we also want to discuss directly with the in-location local guides, as we do not want to speak to travel agencies which essentially are the middlemen for the local guides. We have always wished we could get access to the world largest pool of local travel guides/experts, on which we could contact them directly and choose the best guide to help plan for us, thus save us the time and hassles. As a result, we decided to create Tripbonder for ourselves.
Tripbonder aspires to become the platform where every local travel guide in the world gathers, collaborates, competes, inspires, and helps each and every other traveller achieves his/her desired travel experience. We design the platform to be extremely user friendly, and whereby travel guides can create, publish, and price their services, and traveller can view, analyze and discuss the travel plan directly with them. We believe constant discussion and customization are critical in making the trip an unforgettable one. Oh, and we want to focus on multi-day tours.
