From Machu Picchu to Puno and Lake Titicaca via the Ruta del Sol completes our journey through Peru. We spent only 2 weeks in this fabulous country which really deserves 2 months at least. Definitely a next time. Thanks for travelling with us via this photo journal. It will be another week or so when we start sharing our next series and country, Mexico.

Closer to Cusco within the Sacred Valley of the Incas lie several important archeological sites which makes for a great day excursion. Here's a glimpse of these.

What a joy to hop onto a luxury inter-city coach (double decker and only 3 seats-a-row - 1 twin & 1 single seat and getting the best front upper decker seats too) at some non-descript bus stand in Nazca and to spend a comfortable night travelling up and over the Peruvian Andes towards Cusco, the gateway to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu. They even served us dinner on board. Waking up at the crack of dawn to sweeping views of snow capped peaks and expansive farm and forested land left us breathless. This we're sure was attributed also to the higher elevations we were at as Cusco sits at 3,399 metres above sea level. Getting closer to our ultimate destination Machu Picchu fills us with great excitement.

Sandboarding and Dune Buggying are quite the adrenaline pumping alternative sports. Had a first hand experience of these visiting the Oasis township of Huacachina. Great sandy fun! Topping it all off is the stomach churning, dizzying heights flying acrobatically over the famous Nasca Lines. Seeing and experiencing the Peruvian or Nasca Desert was a real treat for us both.

The weeks at home adhering to MCO have allowed us to finally get working on our photographic journals. It's been rather liberating to recollect our many journeys to some mesmerising locations in the world. We have been truly blessed to have had the opportunity to live out our passion for travels all these years. If we can send a message through to all our family, friends and the whole global population is to make time to go and see this amazing world of ours. That way we will all learn to appreciate and care for Mother Earth the way she should be loved. Stay safe everyone and together we will get through this and become better stewards of the world for our next generations hopefully. Live life BIG always.

Throwback on our lovely visit to Museo Frida Kahlo at Colonia del Carmen neighbourhood of Coyoacán in Mexico City a while back. Also known as the Blue House, this was Frida's home where she was born. She died here in 1954 and this private universe of Frida Kahlo was turned into a museum 4 years after her passing. A real privilege and inspiration to have visited this special place. If you are ever in Mexico City, brave the long queue for tickets, it is definitely worth it.

40 kilometers from Mexico City lies the magnificent Mesoamerican ancient city of Teotihuacan. This 'Birthplace of the Gods' according to the Nahuatl speaking Aztecs, remains a 'must see' destination from Mexico City. Scaling the gigantic pyramids made one feel minuscule in size and awed at this marvellous creation.

Saw a piece at the wonderful exhibition at the Sarawak Textile Museum earlier this week that reminded us of the ones we saw at the Museo Nacional de Antropología in Mexico City. Similar style we thought. So far yet so near. Check out .

'Danza de los Voladores' or the dance of the flyers, an ancient Mesoamerica ritual named as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Lucky to see this act just outside the fabulous Museo Nacional de Antropología in Mexico City. As if the 30 metres height wasn't dizzying enough, they literally spun all the way down.

After 32 days walk, we take off from Arzua this morning headed to our last night stay on the Camino at Pedrouzo. Tomorrow we enter Santiago de Compostela marking the completion of our pilgrimage. We give thanks to god for guiding us all these days and making this Camino most memorable.
