ICOM First Year Interactions First Year Interactions is here to provide you with resources and activities to make your first year at ICOM a great one.

First Year Interactions is designed to ease the transition into college life by providing a supportive experience in which first year students may engage in conversations and cultivate friendships, while participating in provocative and intellectually stimulating activities alongside their peers. Students are introduced to the goals and challenges of higher education and, in the course of the prog

ram, are encouraged to develop skills that assist in balancing a social and academic life. First Year Interactions offers incoming students an opportunity to participate in a series of theme-based informal discussions and activities that explore topics of mutual interest with the goal of fostering intellectual curiosity, understanding, and learning. These activities will also address contemporaneous issues and challenges faced by first-year students for the purpose of personal and social development. Students will be more well-informed about the society and culture that they currently live in, as well as be encouraged to explore various ways in which they may contribute back to the community.
