🌱🌟 Exciting Day at Borneo Empurau Farm & Resort! 🌟🌱

We’re thrilled to welcome the REBORN Participants for an enriching visit to our Fertigation & Aquaponic Site! 🏞️🚜

On August 10th, 2024, the REBORN Participants started their day by diving into hands-on activities such as Seed Planting, Preparing Soil for New Seeds, and Transplanting Recent Seedlings. The purpose of this activity is to not only benefit the Borneo Empurau staff but also strengthen the spirit of cooperation and the bonds of friendship between one another.

After visiting the Aquaponic & Fertigation Site, we continued our day by visiting Kampung Tarat Sibala, where participants learned about the cultural diversity and different ethnicities of the Sarawakian people. To make the visit to Kampung Tarat Sibala even more memorable, the villagers performed a special show for the guests.

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn, engage, and contribute to our sustainable farming practices while embracing the rich culture of Sarawak. Let’s cultivate knowledge and grow together! 🌱💚

Sorry for the long absence! We’re excited to be back and share some wonderful news with you. On August 9th, 2024, we hosted a memorable Gimmick Ceremony with REBORN at Borneo Empurau Farm & Resort. Our VVIP guests planted trees to mark the opening of the International Conference on Responsible Tourism & Hospitality 2024 (ICRTH 2024). Please note that this event was not the official opening of the farm and resort. It was an inspiring occasion for the conference.

After the gimmick ceremony, we enjoyed a delightful dinner at the Ballroom Hall. The evening featured a sumptuous feast of delicious local dishes that are famous in Sarawak along with an enchanting performance by traditional dancers from Kampung Tarat Sibala. It was a night of celebration and cultural richness, adding a memorable touch to an already inspiring event. We also had the pleasure of sharing and enjoying the diversity of different cultural knowledge with the REBORN participants during this event.

👩‍💻 Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise day-to-day accounting operations.

• Key in daily accounting transactions.

• Prepare receiving/journal/payment vouchers, debit/credit note and issuance of cheques.

• Check and verify suppliers’ invoice

• Analyse financial data, compile report, provide advice and action plan to management team.

• Responsible for accurate and timely submission of monthly, quarterly management accounts and financial reports.

• Take charge of daily financial operation including cashflow management.

• Review all journal entries and billings (ensure proper and accurate recording).

• Track expenses information, compile expense data and update costing information.
• Monitor and analyse material costs, labour costs, and overhead.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.

• Monitor actual costs against budgeted amounts and analyse variances.

• Prepare regular cost reports for management.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost-related records and databases.

• Proactively and constructively providing guidance to improve operation performance and achieving cost competitiveness.

📝Job Requirement:

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy/Finance.
Professional accountancy Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA).

• Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing accounting (good understanding of standard costing and variance analysis). Thorough knowledge in product costing, variance analysis, inventory reconciliation and inventory count.

• Possess a strong level of analytical skills, numeracy, and strong financial and accounting understanding.

• Ability to work independently under fast pace environment with minimal supervision.
