PTA bersama-sama dengan Komuniti kg. Tampasak Babagon telah meninjau hiking trek di kawasan Kg. Tampasak, Babagon Penampang.
Aktiviti Jungle Trekking yang diusahakan oleh komuniti Kg. Tampasak ini adalah salah satu aktiviti eco pelancongan yang amat berpotensi untuk dijadikan salah satu tarikan para pelacong datang ke Penampang.
Beberapa perkara yang telah diutarakan oleh pihak penganjur berkenaan infrastruktur yang diperlukan untuk menaik taraf kawasan trekking Kg. Tampasak ini dan pihak PTA akan membawa perkara tersebut kepada pihak-pihak yang berkenaan untuk tindakan seterusnya.
Terima kasih kepada Trekking Guide yang telah sudi membawa kami meredah hutan (jungle trekking) sejauh lebih kurang 8KM dan menyaksikan keindahan permandangan sepanjang jalan terutamanya Empangan Babagon & Air Terjun Nuhuban.

Pada 20hb Feb 2024 - Mesyuarat permulaan Koperasi Pelancongan Penampang Berhad telah diadakan bersama-sama dengan pegawai SKM-Sabah.

Pada 19/02/2024, PTA telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat kepada YB. Datuk Joniston Bangkuai - Pembantu Menteri Pelancongan Kebudayaan dan Alam Sekitar Negeri Sabah di bilik mesyuarat utama Sabah Tourism Board. Turut serta dalam kunjungan hormat ini adalah En. Julinus Jeffrey Jimit - Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif STB dimana beliau memberikan pendapat tentang pembangunan produk-produk pelancongan yang boleh di pertingkatkan mutu penyampaian dan promosi yang lebih baik pada masa akan datang.

Aktiviti Persatuan Pelancongan Penampang pada 28/01/2024 (Ahad) dengan kerjasama Team Rakit Mahandoi mengadakan Mini Tamu di Jeti Kg. Mahandoi. Persembahan tarian singa diadakan sempena sambutan Tahun Baru Cinaakan datang tidak lama lagi.

The Penampang Tourism Association (PTA) in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia (TM) launched Augmented Reality (AR) technology in tourism, known as the PENAMPANG FUN MAP at Monsopiad Heritage Village on the 29.12.2022.
The ceremony was officiated by Penampang District Officer, Francis Chong together with Benjamin Golimbi (PTA President), Ednie Rahma Ab Rahim (Tourism Malaysia - Sabah Director), Wildy Moujing (Ketua Kampung) and Edmund Jokinin (Sabah Tourism Board).
