Having stood the test of time in the tendering of civil works, today the firm is lead by principals with backgrounds ranging from engineering and surveying, to planning and business management. Over the years, the firm has contributed to the development of Northern Namibia. The close corporation’s talent is showcased on various num
erous completed projects in the northern region and the ‘name’ which the company created for itself. The firm has also worked with municipalities, public agencies, and community the community which it serves to provide new and existing infrastructure in support of modernization, rehabilitation, and capital improvement programs. Our first project involved constructing a storm water channel in Ondangwa. The staff compliment included 1 skilled labourer and 4 labourers and a single vehicle. Since then the close corporation has accumulated resources and expertise to make them one of the northern leading civil engineering construction companies. HPK Earthworks now employs 23 employees and is based in Ongwediva. Paulus has been in the construction business for over 9 years. He began working in the construction business immediately after obtaining his diploma in civil engineering. He initially started working for Stewart Scott Consulting Engineers as an assistant to the resident engineer on the construction of district road DR 3636 from Okahao – Etilyasa in the Omusati Region. Paulus worked as a field project manager on the construction of district road DR 3639 from Omafo to Ondobe. He then moved on to wastewater and infrastructure division. He gained tremendous experience in water related projects. It was during this period that he realized that the northern region lacked a civil engineering construction company that could consistently provide high quality work and on time delivery. With this in mind and wishing to capitalize on the opportunity, Erwin T. Paulus formed HPK Earthworks. MISSION
