Scenic Air started in Swakopmund in November 2001. In August 2002 the Windhoek office opened. Today Scenic Air operates a fleet of Cessna Centurion aircraft that serves its passenger's needs. The high-winged Cessna is an ideal aircraft for ‘scenic’ flights. It allows one to see the natural beauty, endless horizons and picturesque panoramas from a “bird’s eye view”. We offer flights to all of the p
opular tourist destinations in Namibia such as: Sossusvlei, Lüderitz, Swakopmund, Damaraland, Epupa Falls, the Kunene River, the Etosha National Park and the Caprivi-strip in the far North East.

'One of the highlights of our trip was doing a flight with Mike Böttger of Scenic Air. An old friend from my school days, Mike is an awesome pilot and entrepreneur, and it was a real honour to sit up front in one of his incredible Kodiak's. Only issue is that now I want one!

Flying Safari anyone?
Do you know where the word “safari” comes from? ☀️✈
It originated in the 1800s from the Arabic word “safara”, which means “a journey”. Then, this word found its way to East Africa where it became adapted to the Swahili word “kusafiri” meaning “to travel”.
In modern times, safari can be defined as going on an expedition to observe wild animals in their natural habitat, Or an exploration of landscapes, especially in Africa. When can we welcome you to the Flying safari of your dreams?

One of the highlights of visiting Namibia
We had 2 “scenic” flights in Namibia. One from Windhoek to Sossuslvei on another airline, and SCENIC AIR from Sossuslvei to Swakopmund.
We recommend by far taking Scenic Air. Our pilot was Dean H. Who explained everything before and during the flight.
He tried his best that we will see unique views from Big Daddy to Herd of zebras. In summary great experience

3 day trip with Scenic Air
In order to see much more of Namibia, we chartered a small plane for 5 people.
Started from Swakopmund going to Wolwedans and then taking us back to Windhoek.
Brand new plane where we felt very safe especially with a well trained pilot Raymond who was all the time with us.
He knows the places very well and explained during the flights all the landmarks that we passed.
We really recommend Scenic air to discover Namibia and take Raymond as your pilot. Many thanks ! On behalf of the Vonk-Jans family
