Mesosaurus Fossil Camp is 42km north-east of Keetmanshoop in southern Namibia. It’s a great alternative to Keetmanshoop accommodation, especially if you want to see a festival of quiver trees strutting along between dark dolerite rocks, or even to visit the Quiver Tree Forest or Giant's playground.

The approximately 280 million year old Mesosaurus Fossil in Namibia, has so far only been discovered on this specific site.

Lovers of photography will have ample opportunity to take wonderful shots of quiver trees, sunrises and sunsets, as well as starscapes.

Don’t forget to look up for some stargazing. The clean, dry air here with little light pollution makes for truly memorable night skies.
