This is absolutely great news for African tourism. Kudos to who said “Africans are the future of global tourism as our middle class continues to grow at a fast pace in the decades to come,”
Reports say Gambia, Benin, and Seychelles are already in on this and Kenya’s President William Ruto also reported to join the train by December 31.
There's the issue of security though which must be given a priority by all African countries for such policies to be effective in boosting tourism on the continent. Nevertheless it's a step in the right direction

To celebrate 20023 International Day of the Girl Child is organizing a 5km Walk and awareness campaign to End Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM).

FGM also known as female circumcision is the ritual cutting or removal of some or all of the v***a. The practice is found in some countries of Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and within their respective diasporas. As of 2023, UNICEF estimates that "at least 200 million girls... in 31 countries had been subjected to one or more types of female ge***al mutilation".

We will be supporting this awareness walk as it serves as a collective expression of our determination to end all harmful practices committed against women and young girls. Together, we can create a world where every woman and girl can live free from violence, abuse, and the fear of losing their lives while pursuing their dreams.
