One day a cab driver told me that for any time and accident happens on this road, the federal government won't allow the family of the deceased to get the corpse unless they pay a penalty in monetary form .

On my way to Port Novo, Benin Republic with my very good friend @Denis okeke AKA Mc Amebo of Big times Africa magazines and a wonderful tour partner, we had to change our currency to CFA at a nearby local Bureau de change shop beside the Badagry jetty.
It was a full documentary tour and we had to record all the moments beginning from the waterside where we entered the boat ⛵.
I was the financial manager. Trust me, good men don't really care about money. They just want to spend and be sure you're alright. So i transacted while he recorded 😂😂.

But we got a shocker when the lady gave us 10,000 CFA single note 😂😂 i was like, who does that? Although at that time, the currencies were equivalent to each other, but i couldn't imagine exchanging my 10 naira notes to get a single note. Also i wondered how i was to transact with it across the border while buying petty things like snacks or doing shuttle transfers within town.
I eventually rejected the single note and got lesser denominations totaling to about 6 notes only for my 10,000 naira.
Men and brethren, travel exposes you to alot of experience.
Once in a while, go to a place you have never been before ✌️

SLAVE TRADE IN NIGERIA
One of the areas of interest to me in my tourism exploration is slave trade history.
I've been to various slave history relics, routes and museums. The stories someone affected my perception of the whiteman as well as the greediness of the black man.
Truth be told, the story isn't nice at all but let bygone be bygone as my people will always say.
At this Mobee family slave museum in Badagry, i was made to wear a shackle on my neck 😭😭.
The weight of that little chain you see will definitely shock you.
Try to imagine wearing this for 2 months or more.
Slave trade was a bad omen but thank God for its abolishment.
