Hajj 2024 maybe less than 4.5

Speaking in a short interview with BBC Hausa, Malam Arabi said the rise in the initial deposit is as a result of the world economic realities that affect almost every strata of development.
He said the 2024 Hajj preparations had already commenced, expressing optimism that the robust plans and measures put in place would yield positive results.
"Some weeks ago, it was announced that intending pilgrims should deposit N4.5 million initial deposit. There is no surprise if the amount drops, so that the intending pilgrims will pay less than the N4.5 million earlier announced, He said.

In private Hajj schemes, the attendant requirement will be relaxed for individuals over 80 years of age. However, Hajj group organizers will be required to enter into an agreement with pilgrims to hire local helpers during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
This clause must be included in the service provision agreement, and violation may result in fines and blacklisting of the Hajj group organizer.

The Hajj Terminal looks like a massive bundle of intertwined Bedouin tents; the Hajj Terminal is the most extensive fabric-roofed structure in the world. Culturally symbolic and spiritually welcoming, the terminal serves as an arrival and departure point for more than a million pilgrims visiting Mecca annually.
Able to handle 80,000 people simultaneously, the Hajj Terminal was designed by Fazlur Rahman Khan, a Bangladeshi-American engineer who worked for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The naturally vented terminal also contains a separate support complex where pilgrims can prepare food, sleep, and ready themselves for the 60-mile journey to Mecca.

The Nigerian hajj commission has come up withe official hajj rate 2023 .
Announcing the fare on Friday at the commission’s Hajj House head office in Abuja, NAHCON Chairman, Alhaji Zikirullah Kunle Hassan said pilgrims flying from Yola and Maiduguri will pay N2,800,000 while those flying from other northern states will pay N2,919,000.00 only.
The chairman also said the southern part of the country has six different costs for hajj. He said pilgrims will pay Edo state N2,968,000.00, those from Ekiti and Ondo will pay N2,880,000.000.
Pilgrims travelling from Cross River will pay N2,943,000.00, Osun will pay N2,983,000.00 while pilgrims from Lagos, Ogun amd Oyo states will pay N2,999,000.000. Alhaji Hassan announced that pilgrims from the south south and south easter. States will pay N2,968,000.00.

Seven airlines; Max Air, FlyNas, Azman Air, Med-View Airline, Skypower Express, Westlink Airlines and Arik Air, applied for the slots. After the exercise, those selected ranked the best three whose names were forwarded to the presidency for approval before sealing the contract agreement.

States allocated to specific airlines are as follows: Max Air is to fly pilgrims from 13 states namely-Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau and Taraba. Azman Air is entrusted with conveyance of pilgrims from 16 states and the Armed Forces. The states are Kano, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Enugu, Imo, Kaduna, Ogun, Ondo, Rivers, and Yobe. Meanwhile, FlyNas would fly pilgrims from Edo, FCT- Abuja, Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara- making eight states.

“The stay duration for arrivals on Umrah visas are 30 days,” the Ministry of Umrah and Hajj was quoted in the local media as saying.
“The umrah pilgrim is free to move between the cities of Holy Mecca and Madina and across all cities of the kingdom during his stay,” the ministry added.
