Know the history: Malaysia 🇲🇾 and Indonesia did not come to Nigeria first to take oil palm seed. The British introduced palm trees and fruits to Malaysia towards the end of 1870. In fact, palm fruit grown in west Africa was the best specie of palm fruit in the entire universe.
When they saw palm trees in west Africa especially the Southern Nigeria, they were amazed and because palm trees can’t grow anywhere in their region due to their weather and climate, they sought for a location outside Africa all in the bid to make sure Africa was never independent.
When they started asking our people the values of the Palm trees, they had the intention of taking some of the samples to other places and Malaysia 🇲🇾 became the lucky ones to have similar climate for Palm trees. After Palm fruits were introduced to Malaysia, it became necessary that they came down to Nigeria for further study and exploration.
Malaysia 🇲🇾 is regarded as the highest producer of palm oil today because our people were extremely welcoming and honest to the stranger who only came with intention to exploit.
Indonesia is the highest consumer of palm oil from Malaysia and some parts of Africa. While Edo State is the highest producer of oil palm in Nigeria.🇳🇬
