REPORT ON JOS CITY TREK Environmental Campaign Against Plastic Pollution & Improper Waste Disposal.

On October 2nd, 2023, Explore9ja Limited held the annual , a noteworthy community social responsibility project (CSR) in collaboration with the Plateau State Ministry of Environment, Jos Green Center, PPM Foundation, T**H Management, National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), and the Foresight for Societal Growth and Development (FSGD).

The , aims to foster environmental preservation, safeguard nature, and protect wildlife in Plateau State through the principles of a circular economy. Its core mission is to engage diverse stakeholders, including individuals, communities, private organizations, and governmental bodies, in various activities centered around waste management, recycling, conservation, climate change awareness, advocacy, and policy dialogue.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS.

The event took place on October 2nd, 2023, from 7:30am and featured a significant walk from Zarmaganda Junction to Old Airport Junction in Jos. During this march, the dedicated team engaged in environmental cleanup, diligently picking up plastics, clearing drainages, improper dump sites and engaged with local residents to emphasize the importance of responsible waste disposal to prevent flooding and mitigate health concerns.

Notably, the event had a substantial turnout, with key dignitaries including the Commissioner of Environment, Hon. Peter K Gwom the Director-General of Foresight for Societal Growth and Development(FSGD) Hon. Zachariah Diwong, the CEO of Explore9ja Limited Ephraim “freezle” Bulus and the head of NESREA Plateau State, among many other enthusiastic participants representing partner organizations.
This collective effort led to the formation of a "Jos Climate Community," which will continue to work collaboratively to advance the goals and objectives established during the event.

The will continue to hold values on Education and Exemplifying sustainable practices for environmental protection & preservation.
