IRCC has finally release & approved this client’s application. This is an application we processed since October 2021; only to received a mail requesting for the client’s passport on 3rd March, 2023. The application took a whole 1years 5months - this is the effect of Covid 19 on application processing.

Over the year’s we have seen Canada Study Permit applicants wanting to pay school fee with partly or fully as if that will guarantee the success of the application; we have said repeatedly that with Canada paying school fees doesn’t ensure a positive response but rather the ability to do exactly what’s expected by the consulate.

Secretary Blinked in consultation with the Department of Homeland security, has temporarily expanded the ability of consular officers to waive the in-person interview requirements for individuals applying for a non immigrant visa in the same classification.
The announcement further increases the length of visa expiration from the normal 24months to 48months; meaning you f your US visa expired within the last 2years you can renew through Dropbox
This new policy afford everyone with an expired US visa within the last 48months to renew their visa through Dropbox until 31 Dec, 2021
